I would not have changed from the last one, but The TMF did not own clear rights to the photo image that was in the logo, and with this one we do.

EQ's quote of me from general discussion is pretty much on the mark. We needed clear rights to the image. The last image belonged to FM, and while I doubt they knew we were using it, having it up was a potential problem that could have come up and bit us at anytime. It was a loose end that needed to be taken care of, and I've finally caught up to it. I do regret seeing the old logo go. It was a great shot. But then I also miss the old cartoon feet that the TMF used for a logo on it's first board 🙂

So I elected to change the image to one without rights issues. My reasons were as silmple as that.

As to esthetics, I tried to get a shot that showed soles, a hint of bondage, and clear tickling. Not simple to find a picture with all of that which one can own. I spent a long time looking through images that might have fallen into public domain, And couldn't find anything that was just right, or that was clearly without rights strings attached. Also, I have over the months of running the TMF, have gotten more than a few e-mails from users that said the old logo's feet looked 'manish'. I didn't see that, but I tried for a more clearly feminine look this time out.

Like it or loath it it will be with us for a while. I found that I had grown very used to that old logo also, and found this one different in a 'I'm not sure if I like it as well" sort of way, but it has grown on me with each viewing. Hopefully it will do the same with you folks.

And a bonus point to CitY of MicA, yes it is Cathryn Beaumont's feet.

In case you missed it and being you changed the old logo due to copyrights etc. the OLD logo still exists on the Opening page of the TMF where you are asked to "Enter the Forum" and "Join a Celeb. Chat Team".

Hmmmm...U.N. Owen? Perhaps an Agatha Christie fan?

I personally love the new logo. I put many hours into searching for images to use, creating different samples, and re-editing the final draft many times before it was perfect. Being a webmistress myself, I know the concequences of using an image you do not own rights to. It's known as Copyright Infringement and will land you in court in a hurry. Myriads did what was best in using an image he personally owned the rights to. He was merely protecting the TMF from a potention shut down. Then where would we all be?

Perhaps some of you are being a bit too hasty with your opinions? Give it a chance to grow on you, and appreciate the time that was put into creating it.

I know that there are few instances of the old logo about. They will get picked off in the next week or so. We just have to drop the new logo onto the banner backings. But thanks for the reminder.

I dont think that is dirt, just the different shade of skin color. The balls and heels often show up darker in photos.

The Logo Pic is Great!

IMHO, the new logo pic is perfect! I love the position, and the tie (including the big toes tied together!). The only thing that would make it better would be to see the results on Catherine's face!

To be honest, I haven't really given it that much thought. Kudos to Mimi for the work put into it. It's not going to change what the TMF is, so give yourself a chance to get used to it.

Hey, we all hated "The Phantom Menace" as a title until we got used to it, and I for one ain't that happy with "Attack of the Clones" for Episode II, but every day, I get more and more accepting.

And her feet are not dirty, just darker there, I'll drop a color version here for you to see when I have a second to find it.

Heres my opinion, I think the new logo is the same thing as the other one. Why does the logo have to be a pic of a foot tickling 😕? Shouldn't if there is a new logo, there should be a different pic? Doesnt make sense to me....🙄 🙂 😀

Wow, its amazing to see how a big thread like this can be all because of a little logo.
I havnt really paid much attendtion to it, when ever I come here its either to post threads, read stories etc. so the whole logo thing doesnt come into mind, as a matter of fact I only just noticed it after reading this thread, I tend to scroll straight down to the threads and all the other TMF contents and so I never really notice the feet image at the top.

At the end of the day at least it represents tickling and if someone is not happy with that particular image, then there are tons more feet images for them to look at in the image section or just visit a foot fetish site.

First off I have to say that I loved TicklingDuo's little tongue monster. Where can I get one of those? Second I'd like to give Cudos to Mimi since I have no webbing talent whatsoever. I did prefer the old Logo though but I do understand the copyright issue. I believe it was Daddy that suggested to let members submit Logo ideas and have a member vote. I think that would give the members that have the talent the opportunity to show what they can do and give all members a chance to vote. Sounds like it could be challenging and fun.

Have to admit that indeed" ticklish feet are ticklish" as interpreted by the new logo; however I also like originallity thus the first logo was absolutely awesome..
That still doesn,t change the fact that TMF is the place to be!!
