The "Have we ever" which Fritz and Steve had to tell Ross, was about three separate companies, in the OKC area, on the Oklahoma Texas border, and either in Dallas or Houston, due to a company that had two possible sales to make to RFS, and depending on which company those people talked to RFS about.
"We have two days of meetings, and one possible show. Tomorrow and Wednesday, and, depending on time, maybe we can squeeze a show in via Zoom or in person" Fritz said.
Fritz, Steve, and Ross spent that day carefully combing through all of the possible companies involved which the three men were talking to.
After an early dinner, Ross went back to his hotel, where, predictably when he went to the bathroom, he saw blood come from his ass, again!
All Ross needed were 36 to 48 hours to pull off the possible company meetings. Ross knew that he could always tell Fritz and Steve that Ross was sick to his stomach, and had to go home, but it was the companies discussion which really mattered.
Kayley called Ross. "Its The VP checking in. How is Energy Boy?" Kayley inquired.
"Tired, but fine Two meetings on companies, and a show which I will not be present for. I should be home on Wednesday night" Ross said.
"Just fine" Kayley said, as the couple parted for the night.
On Tuesday morning, after breakfast, Ross, Fritz and Steve went to RFS offices, to meet with the one party which had two possible separate companies in OKC area, and on the Oklahoma Texas border.
The deal itself sounded very intriguing, and this time, was not a complex "Octopus Arms" deal as Ross referred to such. It was a straight sale of either one or two companies from the party they were meeting with, to RFS.
It was agreed upon that RFS examiners would take thirty days to examine everything, from numbers, to fields, to products, and if the examiners said go forth, the deal would be agreed on, and Ross would come down the following month, and the deal would be signed.
Tuesday afternoon was free. The men could have done a show, but Fritz and Steve could see that Ross was "fighting it" So, they sat in the office talking quietly. Ross was so tired, and his stomach hurt, that Frftz and Steve told Ross to rest and take a nap on his office couch for an hour or two,, before an early dinner.
Ross's cell phone rang. It was Vic.
"Vic, I hope that this is not about anything bad. I think we are making some progress here. However, I'm really not feeling well. Fritz and Steve are so concerned about me, that they told me to rest on my office couch. After dinner tonight, and one more meeting, I will be in New York by tomorrow night at latest" Ross said.
"Sorry you're not feeling well, Ross. I will tell everyone who wants to talk to you that you are out of town until Monday. Please just call me when you do get home to let me know you are in town. If you feel better and can come into the office, that of course is your business" Vic said.
"I will" Ross said.
After another early dinner on Tuesday night, Ross went back to the hotel. He briefly reached Kayley, and tried to sleep, hardly at all.
On Wednesday, Ross, Fritz and Steve met with the second round of people. Those people "said that they had one company" "With a possible second company which would be discussed "later" if the first deal went through.
Ross was tired, but, he did not want to sleep in OKC on Wednesday night. Fritz and Steve drove Ross to the airport, and Ross got on an early evening plane home.
Ross's plane landed in JFK at 1115, and his Uber pulled up to the building shortly before midnight.
When Kayley saw Ross, , she was.. horrified .
"Energy boy, you look just dreadful. Did you at least accomplish anything down there?" Kayley said.
Ross started for the bedroom. "VP, if you are going to be civil, you can talk to me. If all you are going to do is take issues, and berate me, please leave me alone" Ross said, with a tone of extreme annoyance but calm to avoid starting a fight.
Ross came out of his closet dressed in bed clothes. "In bed with you if you're quiet, or guest room if you keep badgering me, your choice VP?" Ross offered.
"In bed with me. I'm sorry I'm like this. You did not look like this when you left" Kayley said.
"I had one episode of blood while I was down there. I'm tired from all the traveling. There was nothing to suggest this when I left. it all occurred while I was down there. If it continues, I will call Doctors, okay?" Ross said.
Kayley kissed Roiss soothingly on the cheek. "Fine"
The next morning, Kayley slipped out of bed for work.
Ross opened his syes, and Kayley appealed to him.
"Please dont go in. You look just dreadful" Kayley said.
"What do you want me to do , VP? Lie here waiting for the next attack of Red to come? I will go in, piddle around, dream about which crazy deal I could do that I would never do because of how RossShell is set up, and be home between 6 and 7, maybe earlier if I dont feel well,. okay?" Ross offered.
Kayley kissed Ross "Fine"
After Kayley left, Ross slipped into the shower, and jumped into jeans and a short sleeved polo.
Ross called the office and spoke to Victor.
"I will be in within an hour or two. Have to check one or two things before I leave the apartment. Even if I just piddle looking at the computer, Kayley's at work, so I dont want to sit home" Ross said.
"Okay, Ross, see you when you get here" Vic said/
Ross jumped into an Uber , and went to the office.
When Ross entered the office, before he could say a word, Ross's secretary Ashley handed Ross a huge envelope.
Ross took the envelope into his office, and closed the door halfway.
Ross could not imagine what was inside the envelope
Ross opened it, started going through it, and was more and more.. shocked.
What.. was inside the envelope?
That would all be seen.
