New server, new site, new stuff!

Well as you can clearly see I've spent my entire Sunday well. Blowing off online messages, phone calls, e-mails, and possibly some carrier pigeon messages. There is so much new stuff I don't know where to even start...well okay, maybe I do. 🙂

We've moved servers since our previous hosting provider could not "provide" what the site needed for hosting. The tickletheater.com domain is going to take a couple days to propagate the changes over the net which means this site will only be accessible via IP address until it's done.

Also I took this time to upgrade our forums to prepare for the new (final version) vbulletin 3.0 I've been talking about for forever and a day. There are new features to explore, and some of them will be very useful for us. For example, you can now post multiple attachments in a single post and even manage them! <a href="http://69.56.237.142/~tickle/showthread.php?t=5574">Bet exotickle could have used this feature a few days back.</a> 😉

As you may have also noticed a lot the URL's have changed for the site. Meaning if you went to let's say...the TMF, and posted a bunch of links to attachments...they will be invalid now. Wasn't intentional trust me, just the way this vbulletin 3.0 is now coded. In the future though it would be better to post the site address instead of the attachment address... 🙂

We also have a brand new style for the place. I made it from scratch today minus some groovy images I found that matched the scheme. Out with the old, and in with the new! The logo is pretty generic I know, but if someone wished to donate a quality logo for the top there it would be much appreciated!

There are a few new sections as well, and the chat will be back sometime this week. Not that anyone really misses it. So look around, and let me know what you think. Take care everyone!

Remember this IP address thing is strictly temporary. Once the tickletheater.com domain changes over to the new server you will be able to access the site like normal again.

I hope it doesn't take too long. Typing in the url or using my bookmark just gives me errors so I'm afraid people who did not catch the IP address will not be able to enter at all until the domain is resolved!
One thing that is different that I noticed right away is the lack of a link to the new posts at the bottom of each page like there used to be. So far the only place I have found this link is on the main forums page so I made that page my bookmark.
Like I said, it'll take some getting used to. I think I liked the old color scheme and graphics better but the promise of new features makes up for it. Thanks for the update! 🙂

New site

Hi Tickle Theater !

Looks like this version of the site is quite easier to use.
Just returning to the TT 2 hours ago, and noticed the useful things, like post multiple images in one post :laughing:,who's on which forum and.......the birthday "section", nice.......also discovered the new smilies.
Show all smiles now........ :wooha: there are many...........good.

I'm having trouble understanding something. The veiw count for threads doesnt seem to go up when the thread is veiwed. Also the veiw count for attachments isn't going up. I posted some pictures last night and they are still showing zero veiws which is silly cause I've veiwed them myself to make sure they work and I know other people have as well. Any ideas?
