Here is a new sketch, pose totally stolen from C Ticklers Katie pic from a few days ago. (I was inspired by that picture C, hope you don't mind). I wanna re do this one over because it has rushed feel to it. How long do most of you guys spend on a pic. What is your regimen when doing a pic. Do you do a rough draft first or do you just jump in? I have a short supply of patience, wanna rush thru and be done...........Any advice would be welcomed

proportions, shape, and naturality. These are things you lack, but this only serves to tell you where to improve. It is not at all surprising, seeing as this is your first full body attempt. PM me if you'd like some of my personal "helpers" when it comes to proportions.
Also, you seem to have slacked on your typical foot prowess. Also something to be wary of when drawing full bodies.

I spend a few hours at tops. However, it's RARE that I DO draw anything, because I want to do something that is... I dunno... ORIGINAL is too weak... Attention-grabbing?
But yeah, I spend a few hours sketching, because I enjoy it, and If what I get is worth pursuing as a completed picture, I go for it! otherwise, they're left in a sketchbook on the cutting room floor.

My process is pretty much to rough draft, revise, and final-copy on the same piece of paper. experiment. was there something you did on accident that adds to the picture? keep it. could you squeeze in an extra hand or tenticle? do it. The key to any education is experimentation.
And it is good that C_Tickler inspires you. From what I've seen, he's an excellent artist. (and be sure to save art that you like... for refrence or inspiration)

Nice pic. No i don't mind at all - I'm glad i inspire you,
I also use other pics. (mainly real-life poses) to help me correctly get proportion and scale correct - although often they don't come out as planned,
As for time scale well each process takes a fair amount of time in my opinion,
i sketch with pencil the pic. change anything with a rubber - then when i'm happy i use a fineliner to ink the pic. - fiannlly scan it and colour it on the PC.
I prob. ave= 2hrs a pic.
As for storyboards - last night i spent over 3hrs sketching 4 storyboards for "Tickled Raiders 2" and i find it very time consuming (lol)

Oh and Thanks 'Jevil' means a lot to me........ comments like that INSPIRE ME to keep posting 🙂
