Hello ticklers and ticklees! It's been ages since I was at all active here at the venerable Tickling Media Forum. So, I was considering starting a thread topic, then did a quick search of past threads with a certain keyword, and realized I could just add a reply to the first of the older threads that popped up! Thing is, that one hasn't been added to since 2011.

I guess what I'm asking is: What is the board's prevailing attitude towards new threads versus reviving old ones these days? I know some folks over at the Tickle Theater (where I've been on and off for the last several years) really didn't care for people adding to old threads.

I know no one person speaks for the entire TMF, but I'm curious to hear what most respondents prefer in the matter.

Thanks! And Hi! I'm back at the TMF. :boo2:

Welcome back, Dr. Bill (good thing you're not Mr. Bill.....). To me, it depends on how old the old thread is....a year ago, ok. Several years, well, some of the players may not be around anymore, if there are links they may not work anymore, to name a few. And, if the thread has many pages.....does everyone want to go back in time and re-read everything? Maybe, just start a new one, and refer to (or link to) the older thread?

Welcome back, Dr. Bill ? Maybe, just start a new one, and refer to (or link to) the older thread?

This is a good idea as it's certainly interesting to read old comments and opinions on general subjects that could benefit from a new discussion with the current active posters - sometimes previous contributors may still be active and may have changed their stance, which can make for an interesting angle.

What isn't always useful is bumping a more specific thread, for example with a direct response to the original poster or quoting a post within the thread (rather than actively re-engaging a more general debate with interesting comments), as quite often the original poster won't see it and it won't interest anyone in joining in unless there's something for us all to get our teeth into!

Welcome back! :bouncybou

My feeling is that you should go ahead and start a new thread on an old topic unless you wish to quote some of the posts in the old thread. 😀

Hokey smokes. 😀 Welcome back ma. I guess the SSF is okay to bring back older threads.

Thanks for the warm greetings and topic replies! Some excellent arguments for either choice. I think in this particular case, I will dredge up the old thread. At other times, it might be best to simply start a new one, though.

Well, I observe that nobody gets pissed whenever the threads "How big is your p3nis?" and "What are the size of your b00bs?" are bumped. 😀

Gads, General - I'm so out of it, I don't even know what SSF stands for! You'll have to excuse me while I catch up on board nomenclature. :hello: good to read you again, BTW!

Thanks, Mils! I missed your updates of adventures with your Mistresses over the years. Seems like you stopped posting them over on the theater after a while. Still enjoying serious fun in that realm? Anyway, it's good to be back, and I should be neck-and-neck with you in post numbers in a week or two! lol

Dr.....Bill....Kobb............I'm eating a carrot in your honor tonight!

I sometimes bump up an old thread as there have been many new members that have joined the forum over the years.
