It's new, just came out about 30 minutes ago from the time I post this. Fast as Hell, but bland to look at. It's a totally new build, from the ground up, focusing on several major improvements including...
Stability - Every tab is a separate process, meaning the browser doesn't leak memory
Performance - The ability to run web-based software with the same speed and snappiness of local apps
Security - Each tab, being its own process can be totally sandboxed, making it impossible for the page displayed within to execute code on your computer
Less Features (Less Bloat) - This might seem bad at first glance, but it's actually not. Less bloat means less code the browser has to drag around. That makes it faster, and that means there's less there that can crash.
New User Interface - Chrome puts tabs at the top, exposing you fully to the concept. I dare say that there are a lot of people even now who use a tab-capable browser who don't even know that the things exist.
Finally, I throw this in for everybody here that frets over people finding out that they visit this website. You can easily open a new browser window in what is called... Incognito mode. No cookies, no history, no cache, no record of ever using it. When you close the window, everything you did in it is gone with no hope of anyone ever finding it out.
There, it's a good quality browser that's fast as Hell, well-built, and has a porn mode for anybody who's paranoid about mom and dad finding out that they like tickling.
