New York City Munch - 01/24/2009

Well its been a little while, but its time for another New York City munch. Mark your calendars for 5pm on Saturday, January 24, 2009.

If you did not receive an evite to the munch yet, then you are not on the mailing list right now. If you are interested in going, please send me a pm so I can add you to the list.

A munch is social meet-up. It was named such based on the Burgermunch held by BDSM folk in Palo Alto, CA, back in the previous decade. We adopted the idea.

It's held in a public place, like a restaurant, bar, pub, etc., with someone or something identifiable to all.

He's good people, too. He's also a NEST attendee, so meeting him means you'll know someone at NEST, too. 🙂

I sent you a pm subterfuge. If you are new to the area as you have posted and looking to meet like-minded individuals, a munch is safer and easier than randomly meeting someone off of the personals section, and can be less overwhelming than meeting people for the first time at a tickle gathering like NEST. If you are interested, please let me know.

Very cool meeting everybody last night.

BA - thanks for putting it together. You make a great host and organizer.

Like the earlier post says, a munch is a great way to dip your toe in the pool of gatherings. This was my first such event, and people were nice and easy to talk to. Thanks to Greektickler to have someone to break the ice with, and it was a breeze from there.

For anyone thinking about the next one, go. You'll be glad you did. : )
