I just spent a couple days traveling through New York on business...I didn't have any time for sight seeing but did I see some sights! :wow: The weather was perfect for flip-flops/sandals and skin baring outfits! The people who live in New York are the luckiest people in the world when it comes to people watching! what beautiful people I saw there. (Can you tell it was my first trip to NY? LOL!)

btw...I only saw one tickling in four days on the road...a young man tweaking his gf's ribs while waiting in line at a rest stop to order some rotten food.

Hopefully the next time I head out I can make the acquaintence of some of you more friendly folk!

we do have a lovely state, don’t we? which parts did you travel through? I hope you got to see more than the city. while it’s beautiful in itself... there’s a lot more to New York than the city.

(getting ready to duck when the city folks, who don’t really consider upstaters ‘true’ New Yorkers, start to throw things.)

Now, Ayla, don't put words in the mouths of we who live in NY City. Those upstate, like you, are indeed genuine New Yorkers, with just as many votes for governor (one per adult citizen, hopefully no more than that) as city residents.

But I believe that toyou's point involves the population density in NY City. Here one can see dozens of women in sandals or flip-flops on one busy street in Manhattan during the summer.😀

Hey toyou444:

Glad to here that your visit to New York City was a pleasant one.

And yes, indeed, there is more to New York State than New York City. Just as there is more to New York City than Manhattan.

Anyway, can you tell that the City folk and Upstaters do get along too well 🙂.

Glad ya enjoyed yr trip to our side of the state. Hope ya got ta see alot of the hot n sexy secretaries and AA's in their cute sandals. Workin out in nj now i SOOOOOOO miss watchin em strut by in the mornin and afternoon..<sighs>

I was in the Marlboro area for a day and then through New Jersey into Manhattan, then on to Long Island and the Bronx. I saw Manhattan by accident (got lost...lol).

I'll be going out there just about once a month now so I'm looking forward to seeing more of the state. Also planning a trip up toward Buffalo and Syracuse as soon as I can.

This traveling salesman stuff does have its benefits!

The boogie-down represents!

Hey, toyou444,

I'm glad that you are learning all about NYC, and even moreso, I hope you are enjoying my favorite borough, and my true home, The Bronx! While I love Manhattan, the Outer Boroughs just have that appeal to me... I guess I'm a sucker for the old times!!!

And for the record... A true New Yorker is not defined by where one lives, but by where he or she holds New York in his or her heart.

And anything North of 198th street is upstate... But no hard feelings Yonkers, I love ya! I love ya!
