Saw it on yahoo. I usually abstain from commenting on criminal cases (or ANY cases for that matter) as since I was not there, nor am I taking part in the investigation, I am not in possession of the facts. I also think journalists misinform us more often than not, usually reporting on cases through biased views catering to whatever ideology they think their readership belongs to.

HOWEVER, in general (as in, not relevant to this particular case), I am strongly in favor of citizens' self-defense. If someone attacks your property, or your people, the best course of action is not to remain a passive victim, but rather to retaliate. The criminal is the one who breaks the law, not the one who defends himself, and should expect to lose his life when attempting stuff like rape, robbery, etc... Which is why I am a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment, the Castle Law, and generally anything that may help anyone, man or woman, not to be victimized easily.
