Nicest People You've Chatted To Or Met From The Board So Far

This thread's just to sing the praises of people that have made you feel at home on this board or you may have chatted to on an IM, like AIM,Yahoo etc. or through PM's about tickling or whatever else! A mutual appreciation society if you will!

My first people are:

TicklishGiggle - A vibrant girl who's great fun to chat too, sarcastic in a warm gentle way and fond of the word 'nerd' (but maybe that's just to me!! lol) .. if I'm ever in Sheecargoo ( I love the Chicago accent, too many Al Capone films! lol) I'll be asking to come in out the cold and hoping she doesn't accidently break my fingers like she did to her her ex, but she assure's me that was 2 years ago. 😀

mercytk - A fellow Brit from Edinburgh here on the board (Edinburgh is the best of Scottish accents believe me)

What is it with me and accent's??!! Anyhow getting on..

This girl is real pleasure to chat to although I've only just met her I feel like I could tell her anything and she'd be ok with it. A girl I'd love to meet personally, and maybe tickle if I'm lucky. I know she's got lovely feet but is a bit too shy to show them on the board at the moment. That's NOT an invitation to just hassle the poor girl with PM's about her feet people. She'll show in her own time I'm sure.

They're the first two people I've really enjoyed chatting to so far. I am new to posting so hopefully there'll be many more. 🙂

I grew up twenty miles west of Chicago and NEVER pronounced it that way, please believe me when I tell you that is NOT a Chicago accent. People from the Chicagoland area have virtually no accent at all and the only exception is the fact that they use a soft A when they say some words. A good way to tell what side of the Mississippi River an American was born on is to ask them to say the word Insurance. If they place a heavy accent on the letters i and n to where they actually say the word 'in' and then pronounce the rest of the word they were born west of the Mississippi if not they were born east of the Mississippi. Now if you want to talk about interesting accents try talking to a person that was born and raised in the deep South, a person that was raised on the East Coast or in New England and if you really want to hear an accent talk to a Cajun from Louisiana.

I've had the unusual pleasure of meeting several people from here and the ATF as well as chatting extensively with them and every one of them has been awesome. Specifically...
Jayman, who not only hung out with me in Otakon but who hosted me at his house for a week earlier this month. he's a true sweetheart (even if he did make fun of me for not playing Mario well).
HDS, who has chatted with me into the wee hours (10pm for him is the wee hours) many times, and who made Otakon better than I ever thought it would be.
Anime316, who, despite his gruff appearance, is more teddy than grizzly. Also he lets me teach him photoshop tricks sometimes which makes nessie feel smart. XP

can't really name names, everyone's been nice to me. but one that really hit it off with me would have to be camel. we're best buds now.

Most people initiative the contact with me, not the other way about. Usually its for help or advice on a moral, religious or personal problem. People here seem to single me out because I guess they think that I'm the type of person that could help them. It is not ironic that people from this website are the first in line to seek my council.

People confess alot of things to me, like IMs and PMs are some sort of confessional booth and I am the priest and they're safe with me. Just like that confession though, I'm not at liberty to name names. Some people (even some of our more prominent members) have told me some very personal things that, according to them, they haven't told anyone else.

It's flattering they choose me, although it is also a huge burden sometimes, not knowing what someone might unload on you and possibly not being ready for it...

Although, if I wasn't capable of handling it, I suppose the people wouldn't come to me. I have to be very careful how I answer them though and often times need reexamine my own conscience, since my words may very influence them to a degree and envoke a decision, sometimes whether to stay on this site or not.

But, I just chalk it up to performing a vital service to our morally inclined members. I know that if I were in their situation I would want a sounding board too. I'm not trying to brag or anything or make myself seem pious, but this is the majority of what transpires on this site for me, so its the only thing worth mentioning on topic.

These people are often very nice people who are just confused or uncertain about something, and I'm more than happy to help them or try to. So I guess you could say the nicest people I've chatted with are the ones who trust in me enough on blind faith that I can help them and they tell me their personal business that I normally wouldn't have a right to know.

That takes a special kind of courage, trust and humility, and I appriciate that as it reassures me too.

😛 As I said, the majority of people I talk to are in those types of personal, private conversations that are sensitive. To name names then off the top of my head is next to pointless as there would only be a few that I have or talk to on a purely casual basis.

I do much less chatting and more helping. But I try to make that as personable as I can.

this is a great hollywood brother topic to discuss. as far as the hollywood brother goes only two people have i had the privledge of meeting face to face and both were very nice to the hollywood brother. The hollywood brother isn ot going to mention them just in case they do not want to be mentioned. As far as talking to people or pm people on here the hollywood brother agree that ness has always been good to me. The hollywood brother also got to give props to everyone who keeps my hollywood brother threads alive and well.

There are also many people that the hollywood brother would love to get to know better but is not smooth enough to score brownie parts for a date or a conversation. Anyway the bottom line because that the way the hollywood brother roll, is that most people on here are very nice and if someday the hollywood brother cna get some tickling action then more power to the hollywood brother

Hmm...definitely the Nessonite and the Valerie. Jayman and 316 I already knew, and I chat to few others. Kalamos has definitely proven to be an interesting one the few times I've had any contact with him. I really must get around to cornering him in IM. I say too little worth replying to to really note anyone else that I've "chatted with/met."
