I wasn't going to post this at first but I worked so long and hard on it that I thought I'd throw it up here. After I was done drawing and coloring there was a lot of photoshopping going on which ended up making it into a pretty cool looking picture. Hope to do more like it and improve in my (non) ability to draw warrior-like people. You don't have to be told probably but the clothes are inspired be (read stolen from) Sesshoumaru.....minus the fluff. WTF IS WITH THE FLUFF?!

An impressive talbeau! I don't know what thing HDS is facing, but I don't give much for its chances. While I'm not familar with Sesshoumaru, I do recognize that the clothing successfully blends the intricate floral filigre and delicate fall of fabric one wants in oriental costuming. Which ever elements you chose to keep, they were obviously the right ones. And the setting (with its sliver-tinged sky and creeping, clinging myasma) is impressively sinister! The skeletal trees and the eclipse appear to be photographic elements. If so, they're skillfully blended... I confess I understand very little about Photoshop capabilities.

Everything Littlebighead said, pretty much. Everything is blended together well. It doesn't look like he's not there, he's part of the environment. Alot of times when people draw, the character(s) don't look like they are a part of the picture, they look like they're sort of floating there.

Sesshoumaru is cool. I want to draw him sooner or later. Him and Kikiyo also. She reminds me alot of Tsuruko and Motoko from Love Hina.

Anyways, keep up the good work. I'm sure he'll be pleased with it. 🙂

The creepy thicker smoke in the way background I have no idea how I did. I tried a photoshop flter and that's what happened. The fog in the foreground was hand painted in 3 layers.
