I saw that scene for the first time a few years ago and I'm in my 40's. I bet they were hesitant to show the foot tickling of a beautiful woman in 1960, I bet alot of people back then thought it was inappropriate. Also, I wonder if he was really touching and tickling her foot or if he was making believe.

That scene was the first mainstream tickle I ever saw. I already had a foot/tickle fetish from my stepmom always asking me to rub her feet and I would sneak in tickles but seeing that on tv really solidified my fetish as well as other things. I was 5 years old and my mom was watching it on tv while I was on the floor playing with my toys. When Stewart Granger asked Capucine if she was ticklish I immediately stopped what I was doing and looked up at the tv. I couldn't sleep a wink that night as I kept replaying it over and over in my head.

Years after the production was first shown in public, the producers of the film admitted that, in the scene where Capucine is trying to laugh, she was actually tickled on her feet and that her laughs and pleas for mercy were entirely genuine.

That said, North to Alaska was THE mainstream clip I sought after the MOST back in the days of yore. I remember a post here saying this clip was the best clip ever... I perused the TV Guide every week to see if it was airing... Good times.

thanks for that one. I did a little puzzle game with those different snippets of that scene and put it together in an "uncut" version. Capucine`s laughter is longer than the scene itself as it goes on in the background and that sound matches quite well to the extended scene of the trailer. I didn't know they had a movie poster showing it, can someone post that photo. Also, does anyone know for sure if Stewart Granger was really tickling her feet. It looks like his fingers are touching her stocking feet. This movie was made in 1960, I wonder if anyone thought it was inappropriate. Unreal !!!!
