That's why I have a couple of portable 2 terabyte hard drives as back up, just in case. I have so much crap, from movies to music to pictures (most of which can't be duplicated and are of significant importance), work documents.....I'd go on a punching spree if I lost all that data!

Po makes a good point. Back up drives are so ridiculously cheap and easy now, as well as unobtrusive back up programs. I keep a couple about and they've saved my butt many times.

Sorry for your loss. Its devastating when that happens.

I'll be alright. My games I actually had backed up so I didn't lose much. I did find out who hacked me though. It was my ex-girlfriend's older brother. He's still got a grudge against me.

Not sure how he hacked into your system but you might want to invest in a firewall if it was over the internet. Or if he logged onto your computer perhaps you can install a fingerprint reader. Many laptops come with this feature these days so only the person with the right fingerprint can log onto your computer.
