The November edition of TickleTown is now up, and the site is better than ever!

CLICK HERE TO GO TO TICKLETOWN AND JOIN TODAY!

Exclusive Material - We're proud to bring you a couple scenes you just can't get anywhere else on the net. We welcome Lyn to the growing list of hallowed TickleTown models. In addition, Wallstreet is pleased to present, for the first time, the gorgeous Lynda Lyxx. Lynda has posted a few times on these very boards, and we are very happy to finally be able to bring her to you.

Britney Spears - In November's edition of Scenes we'd like to see, we use Adobe Photoshop to explore what life for the princess of pop might be like, if ticklephiles urged her to go into a compromising position during a charity drive. Very much in the spirit of the first set we did, with Natalie Portman as the focus on the Tonight Show with David Letterman.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - In the Celebrity Tickle Challenge v1.0. We've tested out our (admittingly) rusty Flash 5.0 skills to make a cartoon of Sarah Michelle Gellar tickled, in animated form. It's rough, but it's an indication of what future projects we have in mind.

Brand New and Rare Mainstream Scenes - We have a clip from Zenon, a short tickle clip from Being John Malkovich, a wonderful new game show tickle scene sent to us by a TMF member, the brand new Blind Date clip found last week, and a very nice foreign commercial that features a young woman seeking out being tickled on purpose

New Art - We're also proud to feature two pages from The Agencies: Issue One.

Discounted Members' Store - For those members that wish to join the site, we're going to slowly add to the members' store. We want it to be a place where you can get really cool tickling material that's either exclusive to the store, or discounted. Right now all members get 25-35% off ALL Agency Publishing material.

Oh boy, here we go. I guess good things always do come to an end. Pretty soon I guess we'll have to pay to post our messages here. Don't get me wrong, Tickle Town is good, but not THAT good.

DITTO AND DITTO AGAIN

TICKLETOWN IS NOT ONLY NOT THAT GOOD...BUT THEY HAVE A TENDENCY TO UPDATE WHEN ITS CONVENIENT.....I DONT THINK ANYONE IS THEIR RIGHT MIND IS GOING TO PAY FOR A SITE THAT GETS UPDATED ONCE A MONTH AND AHHHH WHEN " DONT HAVE SOMETHING BETTER TO DO"...GET MY DRIFT.

TICKLETOWN YOU KINDA BROUGHT THIS ON YOURSELF BY SETTING A PRECEDENT IN THE PAST....MAYBE YOU CAN PROVE ME WRONG BUT NOT WITH MY HARD EARNED DOLLARS...SOME ELSES FIRST AND THEN THEY CAN POST A GOOD REPORT HERE...HEE HEE😀

Being around long enough to see the effort Oble has put into any versions of Tickletown, I easily sent my payment for access.

Hmm... my hard-earned money went to a hard-earned tickletown. Funny how life works.

DK

i dont mean this ina bad way.. som1 is posting all this and trying to do good and it is..
BUT A SITE THATS UPDATED ONCE A MONTH 4 4 DOLLARS.

YA RIGHT

not that i have enough money anyway:sowrong: :sowrong: :sowrong: :sowrong:

f/f

I'm amused how you have the "proud to support tickle town" banner and yet posted what you did.

No offense meant, I was just amused.

DK

ok.. please dont post those kinda things.. i fell outta the stupid chair laughing LOL
i forgot to un do that signuture thing... lol thank u though
o god lolllllll im sorry thi is just funny😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Damn it! Jeez why does everything in the community have to turn into a money grabbing enterprise? Can't we all just share stuff and enjoy it for what it is???

If the day comes when we all have to pay for the TMF then I'll really lose faith in the human race.🙁

That's right kids...even the really good things come to an end. By that I mean no more of the best stuff on the interent for free. Gee, isn't life hard? Here all you want is to be able to get for free and have someone else so all the work and there they go wanting paid for it! The nerve! Of course when it comes to spending just over a dollar a week I can see where most people would be up in arms about it! I mean! Really! $1.20 just to satisfy my own personal wants and wishes?!?!

Geeze! Does anyone remember when there were NO sites like tickle town or the TMF? Sorry to let real life bump in here but the days of free servers are gone with the bandwidth restrictions...if want a mega site you have to pay for it. After dealing with Oblesklk for several years now I can say with 99% certainty that he isn't making much off hosting the site. Maybe enough to get an artist to do a request piece...or to publish another comic. And if he is making money so what? This is America. The land of oppertunity. He has what you want and if you want it you have to pay for it. Supply and demand baby...LOL!

There are still plenty of free sites out there and if you don't want to join thats okie dokie by me...but don't begrudge the guy doing all the work a chance to break even.

That's just my 2 cents on the subject...think of it what you will.

Is it me or does this site get better every month.

I remember how I just sat closer and closer to the edge of my chair when I was waiting for the October update. I mean the site had not been updated for so many months.

Great site!!!

You did get one part of this right, it is an enterprise. An enterprise is a term that governments use towards a special division that is supposed to charge exactly what it takes to run the operations for its user base; to break even each fiscal year. A community bus system is a good example of this, or perhaps a utilities program, if regulated.

Anyway, that's how I'm running TickleTown. Yes, I'm collecting cash, which may at first seem like padding for my retirement account. But I can promise you that every single penny we collect will go toward tickling endeavors. We will spend all revenues on hosting costs, hiring new models, hiring artists, and anything else we'd like to do. I'm still going to kick in some cash in order to accomplish this, but it won't be the hundreds/thousands per year like it has been (yes I did start TickleTown when I was a freshman in college, and yes it was costing me that much back then, when I was earning a whopping $6/hour at the school library. But somehow I survived 🙂 )

I will take constant polls of the members, until they are sick of hearing from me. It is my obsession to find out what the members what to see, and see if it's cost effective (ya, we'd all like to see Buffy tickled for REAL, but it probably ain't gonna happen). It sounds corny, but if I can make every member's dream come true once through the life of our business relationship, my job is done.

Another way of putting this: Oblesklk is so incompetent at running a business he couldn't even turn a profit with an adult related web site 😀

Just screwing with ya, man...but you are right. Like I said above, I'm not doing it for profit. I'm going to try and push the envelope over the next couple of years, and do things I've always wanted seen done, or had a hand in, but could never do.

That means a lot to me 🙂 Instead of little updates here and there, I really try to "blast" all the material at once, so people will look forward to the first or second of each month to wonder what that crazy TickleTown staff is up to now. I'm very glad you like the site so far. We do try to make improvements each edition, one step at a time.

I could be wrong, but didn’t Oblesklk use to run the Tickle Central site ? If I’m correct, that was the first site EVER that I found on the net back in 96. Back then, I had this sorry ass Mac with a sorry ass 14kpbs external modem. It took me about 3 minutes to get a standard size picture to download, but those were great 3 minutes. I remember almost fainting when I saw this “Blonde” comic come up after clicking on a result from an Altavista Search… Life got a whole new meaning…

Since then, I’ve seen the changes in Oblesklk’s pages, the first Tickle Town, etc. Thank you so much for the great times, and for introducing me to the tickling community.

One question: What will show up in my CC statement at the end of the month if I join? This is a very big issue for me as my banker and credit card issuer is a close friend and even considering the fact that this is confidential info, I don’t like explicit web site names in my reports. It’s one of the reasons I haven’t joined a lot of other sites. If it’s something like “paybill ac# 12345”, you have my $4 every month.

I have been a lurker for a long time (since 96) for two main reasons: 1) My English is not so good 2) I can not really contribute because I’m a terrible writer (specially in English), and it’s really hard for me to get any kind of images and clips to upload as I live in a very small country and I could get in trouble easily because everybody knows each other, and somebody comes across one recognizable face, I’m toast.

So I had to rely on people like Oblesklk, without giving anything back. Here’s a chance, and for the rest of you lurkers or just plain complainers, please don’t ruin it for everybody else. That’s what happened to the AMT newsgroup long ago.

A lot of names come up when I think about the TMF today. A lot of people to thanx for the efforts. But when talking about history and time, I can not of anyone who deserves the thanx more than Oblesklk.

Thank you from the TROPICS.

Thank you latinman93, I'm very glad that Tickle Central was one of your first online tickling memories 🙂 I remember my first memories of finding sites and videos online. I think my heart skipped a beat every other minute.

I have been told by my credit card acceptance company that the charges will show up as "PAYPAL - AGENCY PUBLIS" If this is incorrect, someone please correct me asap, as it's just the information I've gotten from them. I have not seen a bank or credit statement firsthand. But I know for a fact that it will NOT say "www.tickletown.com" anywhere on the statement. It does not list web sites like that.

You may want to sign up for a quarterly subscription plan, so the charge shows up every three months, instead of every month. That may work out very well in your case.

There's no need to lurk, your English is perfect 🙂

My statement has the charges listed as "ACTS OF PERVERSION!"

Oh wait, that's what I wrote in my checkbook. Never mind.

I think you are right Oblesklk,

Every pay-site I have signed up for has read something like that on my statements!

LOL you have those in your checkbook too? I think I have more than I want to admit 😱

I just jumped on the perverted bandwagon as well. Count me in!

Okay...

Spare us the capitalist "this is America" B.S. I'm sick of hearing that spew. If people want to charge, fine-it's your product, so do whatever you wish, but don't pretend it's a community anymore when it is becoming a business. A buck or two is one thing, but when EVERYONE is charging then it becomes a LOT of bucks. I don't think some of these budding entrepenuers out there realize this, or that some of this community may flip burgers or wash windows for a living. I usually stay quiet about this kind of malarky (rather than attract the holy wrath of the merchant patriots out there), and when the $$ signs go up I just go away, but this thread is the proverbial straw. Give the executive yuppie talk a rest. No matter what you think or say, people have a right to be p.o'd about this kind of thing, and also have every right to voice their opinion about it in an open forum. It is "America" after all, right? 😛

I flipped a mean burger myself back in the day DK! But I digress...perhaps my wording was orignialy too strong. I would never begrudge anyone their right to say what they want to, it just frustrates me that there is so much gnashing of teeth about a site charging. I mean, if you don't like it don't go there, right? If enough people don't go it will not work and maybe it will change, but at least let the guy try without whipping him, eh?

As to this being a community...I believe very much in the comuntiy aspect of the TMF. In my "real world" community there are places where I can read for free (library) and places that charge for a book (Walden's) and places where I can do both (Barnes & Noble). Plus there are people I like and people I don't...this place is like a home away from home that I can visit from my home, homey!

Anywho...I maybe Oblesklk can give us an update on how subscriptions and band width usage is going? Maybe that will give some people enough explaination for the charges.

Thanks for trying a different tact.

I appreciate people taking the time to kindly explain their rational for doing something instead of just coming on with the "love it or leave it" company by-line. And I guess that makes three of us who flipped burgers at one time or another. I really do understand business vs. community, but Tickle Town and many other sites that are converting to pay/password aren't exactly Extreme Tickling or video sites with extremely high overhead who have to deal with a lot of freeloaders who don't pay the bills. I know some of these sites just get by on what they earn (if even) and some do it because they really do love it. I don't doubt that all sites cost, and that is appreciated, but it's getting to the point where it feels like we're in the pay-for-porno league, and makes me wonder how long before the multiple pop-up spaming starts. If I paid for every site I go to, I, and many others, couldn't afford it, and would ultimately have to bail on all but one or two. Let's face it; some are worth it and many aren't. A lot of this community have been true fans, building up multiple hits on sites, even going to ones we don't care that much for, just to support it. I do this with certain independent film and music sites too, trying to help them along. When the pay thing starts up, it feels like "Okay, thanks for all the support, now get in line and fork over the cash." I know it generally isn't meant that way, but that is the impression many get nonetheless. You're right, ultimately time will show the wiser, and sites who charge will come down who no one visits, unless the haves can keep them in dough while the have-nots are marginalized, and there is something sad about both of those prospects.

Anyway, those are my thoughts - I'm sure there are many others who agree and disagree for thousands of reasons, but that is my take on things. I'm not being hostile about it (except for my initial post, which was a reaction to certain oft-repeated dogma I've had it with - sorry - more than anything else), just putting it out there. Thanks for listening.

Nah, there's no need to apologize for stating your beliefs, Tiki. We're all adults here 🙂

And I really hate to see black and white discussions about anything. I'll never tell you "love it or leave it." Just not my style. I will always welcome you with open arms to TickleTown, just like everyone else. If you can't afford it right now, there are other ways to become a member. Contributions to the site will also get you admission.

We set the price at 5 bucks because that's a fairly cheap amount, that we thought most people could afford, and the numbers looked silly if we charged much less than that, simply because our credit card acceptance company takes a chunk out of every subscription. But like I said, if you're on a tight budget, feel free to email me at [email protected] and we can talk about original contributions. We've always loved those in the past!

The site does actually have a bit of overhead, as it were. Although it's not technically overhead, they are direct expenses to bringing content to the site. We're starting to feature new models for each issue, and we have been for free for several months now. In addition to models, you have to have video equipment, cameras, lighting, props, etc. And they don't come free, although it would be easier if they did. Shoots run in the hundreds of dollars, and Wallstreet and I have been paying for them out of our own pockets to date. With the membership structure, it will allow us to do them more often, in accordance to membership tastes.

In addition to shoots, we're also constantly hiring artists to do exclusive comics for the site (oops, I gave away too much I think), pics for stories, and other little goodies. And we're constantly buying rare mainstream finds so we can keep that end of the site up as well. I have very big plans for the site, and I think I'm just now getting into a position where I can finally do some of them. The site will never make money. Every penny we get will be sunk back into the site, in the form of newer models, more cartoons, comics, animations, clips, or anything else we'd like to see.

So I'm hoping over time, people will come to think of TickleTown as no more than a monthly magazine that has all sorts of cool stuff in it. I understand peoples' anger about it turning into a pay site.

But I was faced with the decision a few months back: either go with a membership structure, or tear down the page, possibly forever...or until you can get a terrabyte of bandwidth for less than 10 bucks, whichever comes first.

I'm not going to respond to every post that questions what we did, or why. But Tiki I thought your's was so civil that it deserved a civil response. I do hope this helps. And I'll keep saying it until I'm blue in the face: email me about contributions to the site. I want people to visit the site. If you can't afford it, talk to me and we'll try to get something worked out.
