THE FALL OF BABYLON
AFTER THIS I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

My first thought was that he is asking about the the Fall of Adam and Eve in Eden. But only the spirit of SI knows what is in the mind of SI.

I cannot recite word-for-word the chain of disastrous events that occurred at the fall, for to do so would take much time and space (and I have to get to class in a minute here).

Suffice it to say that, at the outset, prospects looked good for the champions of righteousness. The enemy yielded before their initial assault as wheat yields to the thresher. However, the ebb and flow of battle is as mercurial as the sea, and the tide of battle quickly changed to favor the forces of darkness. For the forces of wickedness had obtained, at great price, the services of an insidious yet brilliant mercenary general, and he began to rally the usually helpless forces of darkness for a mighty counter-attack. The forces of good fought valiantly, but at this particular time, and at this particular place, they were destined to crumble before the insidious forces of chaos and evil.

Thusly did the great fall occur, as the Philadelphia Eagles crapped out before the (lucky #*^$&@%) Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Now THAT's what I call the Great Fall...

I beleive SI is referring to the Fall of Satan, (or rather, the fall of the angel that became Satan), who, I beleive, harboured jealousy towards Human kind, since they recieved too much attention from God at the expense of the "superior" Angels (or so he thought, anyway).

So he defied God and tempted Adam and Eve, and for his actions was forever banished from Heaven, forced to dwell who-knows where. Hence, he became a fallen Angel...Gods most perfect creation turned sour and twisted.

So far as battles, I don't think they were any...after his banishment I think its read that Satan took his small band of followers with him to plot against Humanity rather than wage all out war with it, and God.

My two cents. Correct if I'm wrong....

Or is it because we all have our part to play? For good to exist, it requires evil. Conceptually, there HAD to be a fallen angel, a corrupter of great power and malevolence. Perhaps Lucifer was the only angel willing to make this sacrifice for the good of all. Just a thought...before we rail too strongly against the fallen. Q

Satan was the greatest of all angels. His name Lucifer means light. He was a leader and honored by the other angels for his greatness and dedication. What led to the fall was that God the Father chose to send his son as a MAN. Lucifer had no intention of ever bowing to a man...never worshipping him. Since God would not change his mind to cater to his pride, Lucifer turned away from God and convinced some of the other angels to follow him...giving up all that was good in them in the process. If you'd like specific Scripture references, I can look them up for you. Just let me know.

The stories of Satan's rise to power is nowhere explained clearly in scripture, although there have been some rather unconventional interpretations made in this regard. In Isaiah 14 there is a lament for and against the king of Babylon for his deeds against Judah. In the midst of this passage we read, "How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low!" (Isaiah 14.12). The phrase "O Day Star" is a translation of the word lucifer that has become known (from this lone passage) as the proper name for Satan. Satan didn't really hit his stride until the New Testament....which was written after Babylonian influences had combined with Persian ones to separate God from any taint of being responsible for "testing" or wishing mankind ill. After that period of time Satan assumed the role of tormentor. Just FYI.

The only other MorningStar references I know of are those from a comic book that features a Lucifer like character who uses versions of the name Morningstar... Q

Satan is first mentioned in the book of Job. He is the person who convinces God that Job only believes in him because he has such a good life. If that good life were taken away then Satan tells God that Job belief will falter.

Interestingly Satan I believe is derived from hasatan which means high prosecutor in hebrew I believe.

And the name of the STAR(messenger/prophet) is called Wormwood (a bitter/toxic): and the third part of the 'waters' ('spiritual' believers) became WORMWOOD (bitter & poisonous); and MANY MEN DIED OF THE WATERS (the fallen Star's spiritual believers caused many to die=over 50 Million murders and thousands of wars), because they (the believers) were made BITTER (wormwood is a bitter toxic herb).

**This fallen one, as in the story of hades, is known to take 1/3 of the people with him in following to the abyss and other scripture 1/3 the fish (christians) from the Sea (Rome-See of Christ)is said to die, and Rev says many people died from their bitterness.*** This occured when 1/3 the Christians in Rome were persecuted before the faith was adopted and adapted out of Roman politics.
Many died by the hands of the SEE of Christ.


Proverb 5:3: For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
But her end is BITTER as 'WORMWOOD'(bitter herb that's toxic), sharp as a two edged sword.

Who is the Fallen Star that brings death, (the reflection or son of Fallen angel Belial), the son of "Morning" (Sun God Baal/Satan), the bright "Morning Star" Lucifer.

What did he Fulfill as describing Satan (the advesary)?
Isaiah 14:13-15
You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven, above the stars of God, and will set my throne on High.. I will ascend above the heights of the Clouds, I will be as the Most High."
Yet you will be brought down to the grave, to the sides of the pit. Similar we see Jesus was indeed brought down to the pit (acts 2:27 & 1 Peter 3:19 & the Apostle's creed) for declaring himself God, as the Most High, and holy king (John 8:57, 10:25-36, Psalm 82:1-8).
Jesus claimed he would ascend to his throne in heaven
(Matt 26:64, John3:13, 6:22, Luke 18:33).
But, the match get's more obvious, in Mat 26:64, John 3:13, 6:22, and Luke 18:33, Jesus said he would ascend to heaven and take his throne and ride in gloriously in the clouds of heaven.
(To bad all verses show Heaven Here on Earth and the Bible did warn of someone Deceivingly taking us to the clouds)
Ezekiel 13:20 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; 'Behold, I am against your pillows (symbolically meaning:feathers/wings or dream/ fantasy) , wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them FLY, and I will tear them from your arms. and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly... (this means the souls that are stolen in the false hope of afterlife where they are told the soul rises and flys to a false, fantasy heaven.)
22; Because with lies you have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by PROMISING HIM LIFE:Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver My People out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the Lord."


*NOTE- Proof to back my interpretation of SEA in scripture meaning Holy SEE can be found in new scroll finds;
Commentary on Nahum (4Q169) Frs.1-2
"he rebukes the SEA and dries it up." (i,4a)
The commentary's interpretation shows the Sea as meaning Kittim which was an underground term for Romans and seen with the furious young lion which power is now masked by the Holy SEE. So in context in the bible now knowing what Sea meant (vatican See of Christ) we can see what fishes in the Sea mean (Christians) especially when 1/3 of the fish in the SEA did die. More disturbing is proof of what the DRAGON out of the SEA means.
We already know the Fish symbol in Christianity so we know what fish represents in the sea.
Mathew 4;19 And I saith unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men(Christians)
Mark 1;17 And I said unto them, come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men(Christians)
