RossShell's office computer system was being completely rebuilt and upgraded with aggressive virus and blocking sofrware.
The employees were quickly returning to the office , eventually returning to full power.
Ross, however, was still in very bad shape.
Ross was basically grounded to the apartment by his doctors.
Ross was able to struggle to finish his four biggest clients work at home, and keep it barely on time.
However, due to his condition, Ross also could not travel, so he could not fly on planes, go to OKC, or Houston, for his oil and gas shows.
Not wanting to cut Ross completely out, Steve and Fritz decided to give Ross fifteen percent of any oil deals completed, instead of the usual thirty three percent.
Ross, who was usually a working machine, was now barely struggling to keep his head above water with his work
It was all because of severe headaches.
A lawyer had suggested that Ross hire someone to do the work on the important accounts while Ross could not go into the office.
Ross refused, fearing that such person would become liked by the clients, and Ross would not get his work back.
Ross was in excruciating pain, and was becoming severely depressed.
It was not about "Money" as Ross and Kayley had money to last them ten lifetimes even if Ross was forced to sell RossShell at that moment.
Ross felt, disabled, at age fifty two.
"I'm a physical vegetable, Kale. I cannot go into the office, or work in the office. I cant make love to my wife. I cant travel to what I consider my most fun venture. I feel like I'm fucked. This is far more than about money. I hope you understand that, Babe" Ross said.
Kayley held Ross with tears in her eyes. Kayley felt helpless.
"I love you so much, my prince. I am here for you always. You will get through this. Some doctor will be able to help you" Kayley said, trying to reassure Ross.
Kayley became so concerned about Ross's physical condition, that she insisted on hiring a nurse to be with Ross in the apartment while she was at school;
"What happens if you get severe pain, or a dizzy spell, or fall, or get a seizure? I am not leaving you alone while I'm not home, end of discussion" Kayley said.
Ross nodded his head weakly.
Ross was plagued by nearly constant throbbing in his head, clogging and popping in his ears, dizzy spells, and weakness.
Sometimes, the nurse had to walk with Ross to the bathroom to make sure he did not fall, and back either into the home office, or into bed to rest.
Ross's father did not tell Ross to give up Ross's work. All that Ross's father was worried about was his son's health. This, from a man, who was over eighty, had countless surgeries, and was in constant physical pain.
One night Ross said something that freaked Kayley out.
"Thank God for you, my princess. If I did not have you, I would wish I was dead, with all of this pain" Ross said,.
Kayley was so upset, that she went to slap Ross for saying that, then stopped herself, knowing they had never physically touched each other except for lovingly in their nearly 25 year marriage.
"I know you're not feeling well, Ross, but you are a selfish bastard for saying that to me! The fact is, you do have me, and you have yourself. You must not give up! You never have even with the worst setbacks! You must not give up now! " Kayley said.
The once powerful Ross , disabled by severe headaches, looked like he might be headed toward perhaps losing it all, both physically, and in every way.
Would Ross get into character, and rebound?
That remained to be seen.
