Ross knew that he still had the tail end of his cold when he went to OKC. Yet, he felt much better, and was past the contagious stage, so he knew he had an obligation to push to do as much work as possible, two shows at least.

When Ross got to the office, Fritz welcomed Ross by saying "Boy, you look like you've been through the mill"

"Gosh, Thanks Mister P, I sleep for basically two or three days straight to get rid of this, and that is the welcome I get? " Ross said, ribbing back, but of course not seriously.

Then Ross continued. "I am going to try to stay at least three days. I think, and hope, that a friend of Alan Hell is going to at least try to help Timothy to get out of his seemingly consistent problems with the people who produce his products, so that in the meantime, I can come here, spend time with you nice folks, and make some dough in other ways" Ross said, drinking a whole 16 ounce bottle of iced tea to try and use the same tactic, and "Flood himself" with fluids to as to try and get the lingering effects of the cold out of him.

"Okay, so , quite frankly,. except to make your life easier, Ross, because you are my friend and partner, I could not give a damn what Mister Hell does for Mister Patrick, with as much trouble as Mister Patrick causes you and Kayley. My most important question is, what is Mister Hell going to do for you, me, and Steve and our oil and gas shows this time?" Fritz said.

Ross sighed. "Well, it might not be a Gold Mine. I was told that one hundred people are going to sit in on the Zoom session. As I'm sure you know, I did not have the energy to go through the pre screening process because I was sick in bed, and then only in RossShell office for a couple of hours each day. Let';s just say that we will do the best we can, and even if we get,. twenty five to fifty this time, we take those, sign them, and I will come back in two to three weeks, okay?" Ross asked.

"I have no choice but to say okay. You could not help being sick" Fritz said.

After the first day "Running over" of financial statements, and potential investments, for the potential investors, Ross, Fritz and Steve went to dinner , and then Ross went back to the hotel,. and called Kayley.

"Are you okay?" Kayley asked.

"I'm better than I was physically. I miss you of course, but honey, I am relieved to be away from Tim and his constant bullshit
I know that I am getting as much help as I can through Alan Hell and the people he knows. Coming down here, spending time with Fritz and Steve, and hopefully making money, will calm me down so that when I do get home, I can deal with Tim with a more level head" Ross said.

"Three days, max?" Kayley said.

"Yes,. Wednesday night, or Thursday, and no office Thursday regardless of when I come home, okay I feel much better,, I swear, or I would have canceled this trip completely. I would not want to be two thousand miles from home and be sick at the same time" Ross said.

"Okay, have a good time" Kayley said.

"I hope to, thanks" Ross said.

The next day, Ross, Fritz, Steve, and one hundred investors potentially went to the fields. The usual show happened, video presentation, technical discussion of the wells, potential investment needed, time frame for return of investment.

At the end, about thirty five committed to sign, with another fifteen as "Maybe"

The return was not " great" but it was something, at which point Fritz said.

"Forget the second show, I can see you;re fighting it. Please stay over tonight. I would like you to meet one guy about a potential probably small housing development with us for lunch tomorrow around noon, then you are free to go" Fritz said.

Ross laughed. "Free to go? In other words, you're releasing me from your oil and gas custody to go back to a much worse problem in New York" Ross said as Fritz, Steve and Ross laughed.

The next day, for lunch, Ross, Fritz and Steve, met with a builder about a small cul de sac housing development on the Oklahoma, Texas line. One hundred medium sized houses, equal investment for all four.

"Seems like a straight forward deal. Okay. Please show us the plans in detail, and perhaps, samples of your work before, what your building costs usually are, and the amount your houses and developments cost, and I would say it looks like a go" Ross said.

When they finished with the guy, it was only 1 pm. Ross wanted to make productive use of his time, as his flight to New York was not until midnight.

"Would we have time to do one more show.. say.. something closer to the office, then do a Zoom, and conference call with the foreman?" Ross offered.

"Partner, and friend, as you know, this oil and gas is our bread and butter. I do not think it right to rush, or do a push because you are sick. Pack up, please go home, and just come back ASAP, okay? We accomplished a fair amount with you being sick. We signed some oil and gas investors, and we believe we have the start for a housing development. Not bad for 36 hours , its a "B" okay, not an "A" You cant get "A's" all the time" Fritz said.

Ross sighed. "Okay, Mister P"

Ross managed to make a 6 pm flight home, which arrived in JFK shortly before midnight. He opened the door close to 1 am. Kayley was dozing, but heard him.

"Mister P threw me out. We got about thirty five investors from the show of one hundred ten people that we did, so about a third, and we have an agreement in principle to do a small housing development if we like what the guy we met with shows us. I asked Mister P if we could do a show before I headed home tonight, but Mister P said no. He said he did not want to do such a show in a hasty manner" Ross said.

"Mister P is absolutely right. Now, please get undressed, and come to bed. I'm tired. Please rest tomorrow" Kayley said.

"Oh, trust me, I will. I am tired, I do not want to go near the office, or deal with anything regarding Mister Patrick" Ross said.

Ross undressed, and fell asleep. The next morning, Kayley dressed for work, kissed Ross goodbye, left, and Ross dozed through the morning. He checked the office in a half stupor once, but all was quiet, and said he would be in the next day.

Ross had his cell phone on loud enough where he could hear it, but not blasting. He was tired from both the tail end of the cold, and the trip.

Ross must not have heard the phone ring, because, when he opened his eyes to figure out what to do about lunch, the red light on his phone was flashing.

Ross saw from the person who left the message, that it was not Kayley, or anything "Routine" from the office.

What and who was it THIS TIME?

That would be seen.

"Okay, so , quite frankly,. except to make your life easier, Ross, because you are my friend and partner, I could not give a damn what Mister Hell does for Mister Patrick, with as much trouble as Mister Patrick causes you and Kayley.
Fritz is correct. Tim causes much too much trouble.

Has Ross reach one million frequent flyer miles yet? The airlines must love him.

Yes, Tim does cause a lot of trouble.

Ross travels a lot.

However, Ross has been in Marketing many years, and not in O and G for that many years,. It is not specified whether or how much Ross traveled before Ross became involved with Oil and Gas, so we really dont know how much he traveled before then.

More to come. Today if I have the energy, as I am getting better, or if not, tomorrow.
