The next Monday, Ross was able to make his way down to OKC.
Ross promised Kayley that he would be gone from "Two to three days" to deal mainly with Jim from Canada while he was with Fritz and Steve, and also to see what the lay of the land was in OKC.
Ross had experienced two bouts of shaking the week before when he was home. He did not worry too much about it, because he was just resting and not doing much in the office anymore.
Thus, as insurance for Ross's health, and Kayley's piece of mind , Ross had a nursing company standing by if he needed them, and the local office of his boutique Doctors to visit.
When Ross got to OKC, he met with Steve and Fritz for lunch. They discussed Jim , the Canadian possibility, and all of the angles of how to handle it. The situation with John Fish made Ross, Steve, and Fritz, very, cautious in dealing with Jim.
On Tuesday morning, Ross, Fritz and Steve decided not to do a new investor show. Instead, all three went to the office, and engaged in a long conference call with Jim The men discussed how to put together a situation between all of them.
The four men decided to "split" the first deal 50-50, to "try the water slowly" with fifty percent RFS investor pool, and fifty percent Jim's pool. They would start with a potential two hundred person pool, and cut it down to likely 100, depending on who wanted to join.
All of the men contacted potential clients/investors with emails and phone calls. By the end of Ross's trip to OKC, they had a good idea of "Who might sign"
Next, they could do a conference call and Zoom presentation, the next week, when Ross was in New York.
Then, more details would be discussed. Where in Canada the wells were located. How long it would take to put the investor pools where, how long the men would take to see any money back from any investment.
It was all a very "methodical" situation Jim was very professional, and very cautious.
Steve, Ross, Fritz, and Jim all seemed to get along very well together.
Thus, it looked like the start of a very profitable partnership between the four men.
Unfortunately, as all of these positive vibes were going on.
Ross had other health problems.
Ross had two bouts of the "Shakes"
One on Monday night, and another on Wednesday morning.
After being examined by a nurse on call, the nurse told Ross it would be wise of him to go home.
Ross sighed.
Ross had breakfast that morning, and took an Uber to the office.
"Guys, while business with Jim looks fantastic, I'm having problems. I had two bouts of the shakes., One Monday night, and another this morning. My nurse on call advised me to go home after this morning's episode. Unfortunately, while I was planning to stay another day to talk to Jim and plan things more, I think I have to call it a trip" Ross said.
"Ross, most important, go home, and take care of yourself. We are off to a good start with Jim. We can always do conference calls when you are in New York, and you can come down when you feel better" Steve said.
"Right! Also, if I stay home and spend time with Kayley, my new RossShell set up with not being bogged down by the office, allows me to get out of town up there more easily. I will come back in a week or two. Let me see how I feel when I get home" Ross said.
Kayley was at school/work. Ross texted her that he was coming home that day . Ross said goodbye, checked out, went to the airport, got on a plane, and went home.
His noon flight got to JFK at 6 pm, and he was home by 7, not far off his usual time to come home when he was in the NY office.
Ross went through the door, and Kayley could see the look on his face.
"I know that look. Something's wrong. Spill it!" Kayley said.
Ross sighed,. "Fine! I had a shaking spell on Monday night. I had a nurse on call. When I had a second shaking spell this morning, I decided that I had to do the responsible thing, and come home, okay? Thus, please dont crucify me!" Ross said.
Kayley held Ross's hand. Its okay. I'm sorry you're having this. Just rest, and if its not better tomorrow, you can go see Doctor G" Kayley said.
Ross and Kayley had pizza, and talked,
When they got into bed, Ross started in with Kayley (Sex) Kayley pulled away, and said "No!" and Ross figured he better not push his luck.
