Anyone lucky enough to waste the three hours watching tonight's WWE Raw Draft Special may have witnessed the one thing almost every WWE fan has long wished to see... the end of Vincent Kennedy McMahon!

To make a long story short, a strangely calm and obviously disturbed Vince left the arena, and after one last look back at the building, got into his limo. Soon as the limo door slammed shut... BOOM! An explosion leaves the car a flaming wreck and Vince pushing up the daisies. The King is Dead... Long Live the King.

So now what? Well, they could play it several ways, but one possibility is a "Who Killed Mr. McMahon?" storyline, with the prime suspect probably being Bobby Lashley, who has been clashing with Vince over the past few months (Lashley just regained the ECW championship from McMahon a little over a week ago only to have it stripped from him tonight because he was drafted to Raw). In this scenario, Vince has faked his own death (oh no... it was all real, really) in order to frame Lashley. It'd be a pretty lame storyline, but a lot of their storylines are extremely lame, so why should that stop them?

The angle I'm hoping for is something out of the wonderful BritCom, "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin." Vince has staged his own death, then returns in disguise... a disguise that is obvious to the audience, but not the WWE "players." Then Vince doesn't have to be Vince... he can be this new character until he gets his "mojo" back and returns to being his regular jerky self. I think it'd be a fun way to play it... which is why I know they won't do it.

Of course, I could be completely off base and Vince was killed tonight. And if you believe that, I've got some prime ocean front property here in Arizona I'd like to sell you. =^_^=

This is almost as dumb as the Big Show body surfing on his dad's coffin after the Big Boss Man crashed his funeral and started dragging it around with chains on the back of his car.

Almost.

How about we just stick to the basics and let me stare at Torrie Wilson...

I totally forgot about the coffin drag... that was excruciatingly stupid!!! But I'm very optimistic about this one - I think this has the potential to be right up there with the WWE greatest worst storyline of all time... the Mark Henry/May Young romance!!!

And now that Torrie has been exiled to Smackdown (a fate no one deserves), my dream match - a divas tickle submission battle royal - will just have to become an inter-promotional thing (which is cool because Kelly Kelly of ECW can join in).

I see this thread isn't getting the attention it deserves.

...

I'm starting to have second thoughts...

The "presumably" factor leads me to believe this is a kayfabe thing...but the fact that there's such seriousness on the website leads me to believe otherwise. :S

Then there's the fact they'd show the video and publicise all of this...no way they'd do this if it was real. Then again this is too "over the top" to be fake. :S

Wikipedia hasn't got anything on this yet...but it's been locked from editting anyway. >_<''

Gah. I'm too gullable. 😛

Heard from a co-worker that it looks like they're lining it up as a "Who Killed Mr. McMahon" angle... which means there is gonna be major suckage.

So... anyone want to throw out any possible theories as to whodunnit?!!!I say, with great confidence, that anything we come up with will be 847% better than what they'll think up. Let me start off the mockery...

Obviously whoever did it had to be small enough to get under Vince's limo... so there is only one possible suspect... Finley's stinkin' Leprechaun!!! Who knows what evil lurks inside that tiny little body?!!!

they taped it a day prior, and spliced it together with what was showing on cable.

thank you

It'll be interesting what happens on ECW and Smackdown this week, as those will be the first shows to run in the seemingly post-Vince era. OR this could be the return to his "God" phase... in any case I like the "Dallas" angle this could take , which it would become like when Steve Austin was hit with the limo and he went and did his "guilty, until innocent" thing. I'm more interested in the draft since it is changing the face of the shows... (which doesn't overtly matter since any superstar at any time can wrestle on any show)

Still though, Lashley to RAW is interesting

My guess: Shane McMahon. 😉

He could want the company for himself, being the "sole-heir" and all. 😀

Maybe it's going to be another "Who run-over Stone Cold" storyline.

In which case, I throw in my suggestion of Rikishi (or name another non-motivated wrestler who everyone loves and WWe wants to kill their career in seconds) who "did it for The Rock" (or actually HHH).

Maybe they'll recreate another Mr. Socko. 😀

Didn't you just love the attitude era. XD

EDIT: Nerrad, where did you find your extract? 😛

ok if we're gonna play clue here on a suspect, I say that it's gonna be HHH.

He's the one guy that no one has seen and would "have the most to gain".

I agree. Though I haven't watched WWE for awhile altely. But what is up with this terroist stuff now? Car bombs? I think I've totally went over the line on this one folks.

They need to do something, they havent had crap for storylines for years.

the hollywood brother was real impressed that mr. mcmahon would take on such a stunt. This shakes things up on the television and has people talking which is porblably what vince wants anyway. The bottom line because the hollywood brother says so is that vince is a smart man who has changed the wrestling industry so much and who has been a great leader is doing all this for the sake of the story. Now the hollywood brother thinks that is awesome. It was a stunt that probably had safety features but it could backfire and vince was willing to take that chance to help keep WWE making money.

In this day and age most wrestling fans love to hate vince but the hollywood brother loves and respects vince. He is a great heel character and a visionary in his field. When his time comes, he will never be forgotton just like people will always remember the name of the hollywood brother because the hollywood brother say so!

We are all forgetting too that Vince has done quite a lot in the last little while and has been known to take extended vacations from time to time... perhaps this is the way that Vince "retires" from in-ring antics. Despite his "physique", he is getting up there in age and I could see the stunt as a sign that he is going to spend his time now solely on running the company. What it does do is open up many lines in the story, the most notable is that with the draft as well, a new beginning in WWE. I foresee Shane taking a bigger role now and perhaps the return of a certain Chairman's daughter to more pronounced duty in some form... above all though: this is great entertainment.

It's...

There is no word to describe how stupidly bad this storyline is...

>_>

Right you are on that, for lots of folks aren't interested in this storyline, for I'm expecting a hopeful quick ending to it at either this coming Sunday's "Vengeance" PPV or "SummerSlam"(where I'm sure they'll have the Jackass" guys find a coffin and open it up,only to find Vince inside of it,who then rises out from the coffin, comically glares at them, and bodyslams them to the ring as he gets out from there.

Otherwise,I'm surprised that Vince's fake "death" 🙄 🙄 has gotten more coverage than "Sensational" Sherri Martel's recent death(that happened around the same time last week).

I think the story will play out that Vince McMahon staged it himself. Not that they'll say he tried to commit suicide but that he wanted everyone to think he was dead. The draft night was also "Vince McMahon appreciation night" but everyone who was interviewed about him had nasty things to say. Now, everyone will come out and truly appreciate Vince and then he'll miraculously show up at the end of RAW on Monday saying it was all a ruse to get real appreciation - to find out how people really feel about him.

It'll probably be much more grandiose than this, but one thing this theory does is eliminate any wrestler/WWE worker who will have to remain on WWE's payroll even though they tried to kill the boss. Oh and it wraps up this horrible story line by Monday.

And I agree with LV. One of the most appalling things about this storyline is it forced WWE to pay more attention to the fake death of VKM than the real death of "Sensational" Sherri, one of their Hall-of-Famers.

Well, at least it's better than using a real death in a storyline, ala Eddie Guerrero...

True. I despised what Randy Orton said about the late, great Eddie Guerrero. >_>

It's true. Big Corporations = No Heart. >_<

I'm sure the people in WWE, the real-life people when they're not in character, have a tremendous respect for one another and that would extend to the Guerreros. If I had to guess, this was an idea brought to the Guerrero family which they accepted, knowing the risks. For whatever reasons, it is done and on another subject and like many people, I cannot see WWE removing McMahon permanently from the scene because, whether good (canning of Eric Bischoff) or bad (one-night re-hiring of Bischoff, lol), his character was quite popular.
