On average, which gender is most ticklish?

JUst curious about this b/c I am a lot more ticklish than my sister but my girlfriends is more ticklish than her brothers.

My fiance isn't as ticklish as he used to be. But he is ticklish after 10pm! So he gets it pretty bad before bed! 😀..

In my experience, it's definitely girls. Whenever I've tickled a guy I can get maybe a chuckle... they might jump away. But never a good loud laugh. And this is when I can actually find a guy who's at all ticklish. Most of my male friends aren't. But I've rarely come across another girl who wasn't ticklish somewhere. And they always had the greater reaction to it. I have to vote girls all the way.

There have already been tests done to prove that it is actually males that are more ticklish than females. Though the levels and strengths of the tests do vary, they have already pointed that out. I will try to find the test for you, later today during classes.

I personally think that's purely down to probability. Unless they can individually test every single person on the planet the test won't correctly convey current figures.

I might also note that I've never found anyone more ticklish than myself, and I'm male. It wasn't long ago I had to abandon a stomach examination part way through because the doctor probing my stomach caused me to squirm and laugh out loud. It was awesome :3

Preciesly, it is down to probability, but there were a number of tests that helped to prove that theory.

Well personally, I think those "tests" are bullshit, but that's just me. Like I said, there are numerous things about ticklishness that points towards reasons why females typically should be more ticklish, and what I've seen personally support it. Thing is that there's alot of bias regardless of who is doing the testing cuz people have bias, so saying "3 tests say men are more ticklish" isn't saying much other than what the person who said that's personal opinion is. There are also way too many variables that are missing from those to make a good validation. For instance, where specifically was tickled? For how long? Things like that is what I mean. It seems that most of those are just looking for quick answers. But ultimately, who knows?

I voted equal, although I'm just hazarding a guess. I know I'm ticklish as all git. I try not to give too strong a response, though. Kind of a guy-thing. Like the way we're supposed to suppress our emotions and all.

I'm pretty sure the sex of the person is highly irrelevant in this matter. Any studies saying otherwise are completely circumstantial.
