One eye open during tickling?

Ok, this is something that I've wondered about for a long time, but I always forget about it before I can say anything. Well, it would appear that I didn't this time. So now I'm gonna bring it up.

You know, in a lot of tickling art I've seen, the lee will have one eye open, looking somewhere. And...I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that irl. I mean, is that actually realistic? It seems like you'd have to make an active effort to just open one eye. So lees, have you? Lers, have you ever seen a person open one eye and look at you? Is this something that actually happens?

No, I haven't. I've seen tickled people with their eyes either fully shut, or fully open.

I've seen it. They're usually in the process of blinking when it happens, but one eye starts tearing before they both open. They usually won't stay like that long, so i think in these pieces it's supposed to capture a brief moment in time.

That's probably because when you are acting you should always have one eye on your audience or at least make sure to look at the camera every so often.It's important to interact with your audience and engage them in the show.It could also be for dramatic effect.

And yeah, I guess that could be try on the capturing a moment of blinking, but if that's the case isn't it a bit...misrepresenting? But then I'm not an artist so yeah...

It's not misrepresenting,don't you want to see the actor/actress' pretty face and eyes and connect with her,almost feel her ordeal?Well,it is not easy to do that when the actor/actress ignores her audience and never looks at the camera and engages you in the show.
