Online Tickling Thrill lost or not?

Greetings Fellow Lovers of The Gentle Carress!!!

Something I've been thinking about for a while now...before this place existed (especially the chatroom) I found it SUCH A THRILL if I was chatting up a girl online and then started questioning her about being ticklish, where she was ticklish and then cybertickling her and seeing the reactions...I found that when I join the TMF chatroom...because I already know that everyone is into tickling...quite a bit of the THRILL is lost...maybe because of the lack of mystery and a lot of other aspects which I can't put into words. Can anyone else relate to this? The old thrill of NOT KNOWING?

In the early days, even in a "tickle chat", it was a thrill just to talk with others into tickling. I enjoyed cyber then too, since it gave some sense of what a person would be like as a ler or lee. Now that I'm married to a fellow tickle fan and can have fun whenever I like (all the time), cyber holds no interest for me. But, I still enjoy talking ticklign with others and seeing newbies come in all excited at having found this. The community is sooooo cool.

My sentiment is similar to Ann's: now that I have a significant other (the endlessly delightful & very ticklish lite - whom I met on-line, I might add) who loves tickling & being tickled, I have found that my interest in cyber-ticking has waned considerably, although the occasional cyber play in the main chat room still gives me a bit of a thrill.

And likewise, I am very pleased at the excitement of the newbies coming into the room & the forum for the first time.

Yep, same here. I used to cyber all the time and now that I have a partner there is no excitement in it anymore for me. I still love tickling stories and videos, but cyber tickling seems a little bit boring to me now because it's too repetitive. Also, you know the person on the other side can't really feel you tickling them (unless they have a third person there), so they have to rely on how they think they would react to express themselves.

cyber tickle/chat

it was a big turn on back in the days when we had the tickle chat room on aol. before the minors came along, (and forced aol to close it forever). back then it was a thrill to talk to the ladies who were into tickling. now i don't think it would be as big a deal. i'm affraid i may be jaded. i have been corrosponding with a few ladies from here on tmf, and i admit, things can get steamy. it is exciting to see e-mail from them in the morning. but thats the difference between email, and a chat room, you can't get that undivided attention in a chat room.

For me, there's a big difference between talking ABOUT tickling and so-called cyber-tickling. Talking about it is usually fun and interesting, whereas the whole cyber "experience" is totally contrived and goofy. Again, this is just my opinion, but when you see people typing things like "OH, that tickles SOOOOO (you can add as many "OOOO"'s as you want) much...STOP, STOP!!! I can't stand it!"...I'm sorry, but that does absolutely nothing for me. Rather than have someone using their fingers to type those types of responses on a keyboard, I think it's always better for them to use their fingers in person (on my person). Others may (and probably will) disagree, but I never have (and never will) get anything out of a cyber-scene.

Intresting points HBGB. I personally get nothing sexually from "cybering" but engage in it often. Apart from reading in "How To Win Friends And Influence People" that I should 😀 I do it because it sometimes helps to gain a littl insight into the way that someone works. It helps you to get to know their personality a little better.

Take Mimi, for example. When I first got to know her in the TMF chat room, I was always "accosting her" as she puts it. I havn't done that for ages now. Not because she's any less of a friend, but because I now know her very well and we talk about other things. I often think that cyber-tickling is the TMF's equivalent of a handshake.LOL
