That's an interesting thought, though not, to my understanding, an accurate one.
If one posts to 10 threads, then deletes two of the posts, one doesn't show having posted 10 times. Rather, one is seen to have posted only 8. I'd thought the membership was similarly managed in the software.

venwad finds dvnc's post worthy of a response. I just checked the member's list and I have at least 8 disabled member accounts that show up as still being members of the TMF. If so desired, one can still log-in any of their disabled names and password and have it show up as being active (in red) at bottom of homepage. Obviously only one at a time, and why one would want to do that without posting privileges. Your current number of members is incorrect.

Perhaps dvnc or the Admin of this group who are not aware of problems in the member (deletion of disabled/banned members names from the group) software.It would give a more realistic number of bonafide members. Since someone occasionally starts a thread about the number of members. this is a legitimate on-topic post. Since you have posted that it is something you could care less about, why post at all. It seems you desire each of us to soft flame each other's posts.As you know who I really am, this can easily be accomodated if you so desire.

I find myself in agreement with someone who speaks of themselves in the third person and has a stranger screename than myself...an accurate accounting procedure would be nice...perhaps one of our software friendly members could make us aware of a piece of shareware that can accomodate the EZ Board /forum setup? There is no way to know the number of legitmate members. There can be dozens of double, triple, or however multiple ID's from people who forgot a logon, decide to have a new name, or like you, who wanted to spam the forum for yuks and grins and kept loosing accounts because of it.
We go 'yippy' at multiples of 1000 because it's as good as any place.

I meant no disrespect thus the laughing face.......I was merely pointing out that it really doesnt matter if we are 10 or 100 off in the exact # suffice it to say that we have quite a few members for
our 1 year in existence. As far as your id goes..I do not know who you really are nor is it any more important to me than knowing anyone who wishes to remain anonymous. My post was not meant to incite flames and I appologise if you took it that way..😀

I try to be at odds with no one..dont always succeed there unfortunately...as for mellowing...its a good thing I think..I have learned to disagree without being disagreeable in my old age...LOL

Just had a thought. (It does happen from time to time.😀 ) 4000 registrations may be a good indication of a rise in the population of the tickling community, but there can't be any more than a hundred members at most who actually interact in the TMF. There are nowhere near 4000 people who use the chat room and regularly make posts on the notice boards.

Picky, Picky, Picky! We already know that there are many people who have multiple names on this NG so they can try to be sneaky or hide or whatever. But if we're hitting 4,000... we're still hitting 4,000. Still pretty amazing considering how young our Forum is.
