PETA has a really weird history of campaigning via sexploitation/objectification of women. They keep drawing heat for it, so I wonder if it's a deliberate "no publicity is bad publicity" strategy.

PETA uses negative publicity to get their point across because they cant do so by legitimate means.....a totally unethical organization that uses millions of donations to pay salaries and run their bogus "charity"

I wonder, why don't they just post an ad about slaughterhouses with people in the animal's places and vise verse. Throw it on youtube and see what happens. Personally it wouldn't phase me but the reaction would be interesting.

Youtube would ban that I'm sure but there's plenty of shorts of that sort of thing floating around, along with some nasty 'real' slaughterhouse footage if people look for it - it's that sort of thing that persuaded me to become vegetarian years ago. It is pretty unpleasant to most people though and so likely to be avoided by viewers and TV networks alike. That's why PETA go for alternative methods to get noticed and get people talking...personally, I don't see them as unethical but then I agree with their point of view.

Good points, yeah I love to eat meat so PETA's adverts don't effect me so much. However, they are not unethical in my view either. Furthermore, I think people can practice whatever they want as long as they are not breaking the law.
