Before the season began, Naomi's kids, who were always curious, asked Naomi directly about Heath Ledger. "Mommy, who is Heath Ledger, and why is daddy so upset about him?" Naomi's youngest child asked. "Heath Ledger is a very nice guy from Australia who mommy dated and was in love with a long time ago before she met daddy, but now he is just a nice guy, a friend, and will be a teammate. Your daddy just loves me so much that it upsets him to see any guy I liked before around." Naomi said. "You arent going to divorce daddy and go with Heath are you?" Naomi's child asked. After a loss on Wednesday, and an off day on Thursday, Atlanta came to town for the second series of the season. Neve Campbell tried to make up for her shaky season the year before by getting off to a flying start, firing seven innings of two run ball, in a 5-2 Good Guys victory. Jennifer Love Hewitt gave a good effort on Saturday night, but as they had many times the previous season when she was on the hill, the Good Guys didnt hit, and were saddled with a 2-1 loss. Kate Hudson took the hill on Sunday, and pitched very well, allowing one run into the eighth, as Mitch hit another homerun, in a 5-1 Good Guys win.
Houston invaded Paradise for the last series of the season;s first homestand. After an off day, Gil Bellows shut them out, 3-0 on Tuesday. Neve Campbell gave another good effort on Wednesday, but couldnt emerge victorious, as she was handed a 3-1 loss. Jennifet Love Hewitt started the final game of the homestand on Thursday afternoon, and pitched very well, allowing but two runs over six innings, as Mitch hit a grand slam homerun, in a 6-2 Paradise triumph. In the meantime, the team held its first Saturday tickle party of the year. The featured lee, was, not surprisingly, Heath Ledger. The women swooned as the hunky Heath was tied to the bed.
