Opinions requested: Is she crazy?

So the other day, I go into my local haircut chain for the usual. I get the new girl and as usual I flirt during my haircut. I mean it's an unsaid part of the hairstylist profession to carry on a conversation and I'm an incorrigible flirt.

I go home and take a shower and when I get out I have a text message from an unknown number. It says "hey trouble". Trouble being what she kept calling me during the haircut.

This place keeps track of customers via phone number, and since I didn't give her my number that must be how she got it. I replied back, we had a brief convo during which she happened to mention she's more of a sub than a dom. This girl is 20, I'm 38. So I mentioned this story to a few of my friends and they all said she sounds crazy, steer clear. Except one guy who didn't believe me that it even happened.

I'd like to know what my TMF friends think about that, should I steer clear or should I message her again? Does she sound crazy or just a little ballsy?

If that IS the case, then she's probably a little kinky, she met you, and now she has someone she can share it with, whoever you are. Do you live in a big metropolis or is it more Anyplace, USA, where a girl is not going to be able to, say, go to a bondage sex club or meet a wide variety of people....

So....if that's the case, she's not crazy, she's sexually developing and she wants to play. And maybe she likes guys older than her, lots of girls do, not uncommon at all. So I say...go do it, man! This isn't going to be a girlfriend, this is going to be a playmate, a tickletoy, have fun! And if it does turn out to be a girlfriend, even though it's an 18 year old difference....with her being at an age that she's going to undergo major changes in the next few years.....well, good luck. That's a tough age to pull off long term, but for a short term? Why not.

But out of the blue, in a brief conversation with a stranger you just met, in a professional capacity, with no prompting from you other than "flirting".....that sounds a little weird....

Thanks for the feedback guys! I guess I was apprehensive because of all the negativity from my friends, who granted can be a little player hatey. Plus there's the fact that I had a stalker last summer which really creeped me out and made me a little cautious about who I date.

The way it came up was in the context of discussing hair.
Me: My head is a little colder than before.
Her: What happens when you shave it so short.
Me: You think I should start wearing it longer?

I've never actually had a Master / sub relationship. Just done more than my fair share of tied up tickling. It would be fun to try out though! Good advice!

I don't see anything weird about the age thing, if she's honest about her age (which, working as a hairdresser I'm sure she is of legal age) I see no problem with that. I would like to echo what Deb said about trust being important--come at this the way you would any relationship. That is, learn about each other and build up trust.

She did mention she is 'more' sub than domme. Might indicate that she is at least somewhat switch-y, and might be something to keep in mind.
