Opportunities not taken

Last weekend there was a little party with a couple of my best friends at one of their houses, and her parents were cooking a lot of food. They have cats and when we sat down to eat, they would bump us from behind or sweep under us and push our legs. I was sitting next to my friend when I felt a tail whip from the back, and then a soft push in the front and I was about to reach down and pet him, when my friend said, "Oh sorry! That one was me!" I laughed that I was going to go down to scratch him, making the indication that I would accidentally tickle her. She did push up on my leg with her foot multiple times to get her foot "petted by accident." But all our friends and her parents were there and we were all eating. We all just laughed at the scenario of getting bumped by a cat, going down to scratch the good kitty, and find its a foot instead. Later I thought, I should've just tickled her, it really wasn't a big deal. But being in my own head makes it a bigger deal.

Anyone else not take an opportunity to tickle someone that was clearly green flagged, out of embarrassment or awkward timing, or maybe just the mentality of the fetish itself makes you feel like you shouldn't because it might be morally wrong?

Absolutely... Sometimes even "green flagged" tickle opportunities don't feel quite right in the moment. AND- Yes, there are times when I pass up opportunities that are served up to me on a silver platter because I know that I just shouldn't.

The embarrassment and awkwardness happens sometimes. Even though I have been into this for decades, I still feel shy and weird about it from time to time (even amongst people in the tickle community.)

i have a few of these opportunities i didn*t take cauz i was too embarrassed and those are the ones which come in my mind:

- when i was around 24 we were watching a movie together in our friends group and my sisters best friend was barefoot in jeans (the holy grail for me) and she was sitting next to me.... i couldn*t barely watch the video but i didn*t want to stare at them all the time cauz my best friend a few of our friends were there aswell and so i was only thinking about tickling her feet but i didn*t do it

- next to my university is a park where students chill in summer! and when i still was a student (german language so lots of women) i was there sometimes with fellow students who were sitting barefoot on the same blanket next to me and i never fucking ever tickled someone cauz i didn*t have the balls!

- and the last one could have been one of my biggest mistakes ever: the time when my then girlfriend and now wife was slowly finding out about my fetish she kinda offered me herself to get tickled and in this moment i realised that she really knows about it and i felt sooo embarrassed and turned it down facepalm!!
but i came out of the closet a few month facepalm again later and now i am allowed to tickle her but nobody else =)
soooooooooo even if there are new chances i don*t think about tickling cauz it will end in a huge fight! and i turned 40 last year so there aren*t soooo much opportunities anyways!

There were more than a few occasions I easily could’ve tickled her and she would have been just fine with it but her best friend worked there too and most definitely told the friend I tickled her. Yeah, she said it’s why she doesn’t get pedicures. She was telling another coworker that in our break room. It was exciting as hell, I’ll admit. The temptation was there a few times but I had enough will power to realize the level of embarrassment would far outweigh the pleasure of the moment lol.
