My wife’s friend Patty is unbelievably ticklish on her ribs. I discovered this personally about 2-3 years ago. She was over at our house at a party, and was washing something in our sink. I came up behind her and goosed her ribs. Now, when most people are snuck up on like that, they’ll jump regardless. But Patty jumped a foot in the air and screamed. Way over the top reaction. So I suspected her ribs were totally ticklish. I did get a feigned dirty look for my efforts..
I made sure to report this to my wife, who doesn’t share the fetish but is an opportunistic and playful tickler. Fast forward to a few months ago, we were at some friends’ house for a party, and Patty was there. A few drinks later, my wife was feeling playful, and walked over and attacked Patty’s ribs. Patty screamed and went straight to the ground on her back. Now this girl is strong - a workout warrior - but was reduced to giggles immediately. Even better, another female friend nearby with a couple cocktails down decided to help! They had Patty rolling around on the floor laughing as they poked her ribs. They made quite a ruckus, as Patty screamed “MY RIBS ARE TICKLISH”. The friend helping in the tickling volunteered as she tickled, “My feet are ticklish!” As a foot guy, I can’t wait for my wife to get her!!
My wife, Patty, and I all work out at the same gym. HIIT classes, so we all do the same workout. It was a circuit that day. Patty was doing pull-ups. If you need a rest during the a minute of pull-ups, you’re not allowed to drop down, you have to at least hang there. It was the final round and we were all pretty gassed, so Patty was hanging there. I was next to her doing an different exercise.
I said, “(my wife’s name) should stand on the box behind you and tickle your ribs when you stop to rest.” Patty’s eyes got really wide and she shook her head violently back and forth. I laughed, and thought that was it. At the end, She said, “When she just comes at me with those fingers”, and she wiggles her fingers in the air, “ I just... ugh”, and she trembled like she got the chills.
I said, “She thinks it’s hilarious,”. Patty rolled her eyes and said, “I know she does!”
