While Ross was thrilled to be in OKC, his migraine pain, was at best, on and off.
Ross figured that at least some of such was due to the unpleasantness he was going through with RossShell's office.
Ross vowed that unless the pain because excruciating, and Ross felt he really needed to go home, Ross was going to "Fight his way through" , call a nurse, and do his work anyway.
Fritz and Steve could see that Ross was not "At 100 percent" Thus, Steve said. "I can see that you are either tired, have at least a slight migraine, or both. We were planning a show for tomorrow. When we go to breakfast in the morning, you let us know how you want to do it. If you are up to it, we will go to the field and talk to the investors. If you don't feel great, we will come here and do the show via Zoom, okay?" Steve said.
Ross smiled. "Thanks, Steve. You are the best"
Ross, Steve and Fritz had a brief discussion at the office about the agenda for that week, after which the men had an early dinner at an Italian eatery, and Ross was taken back to the hotel.
Ross called Kayley, whose first question obviously was. "How do you feel?"
I had a headache when I got to the office. Steve saw it, and said that we will see how I feel in the morning. If I'm okay, we will go to the field for a show, and if not, we will do the show via Zoom" Ross said.
"I miss you. Ross, you know, please call a nurse if you really start to feel badly" Kayley said quietly.
"I know, Kale. Right now it's just a little bit. If it stays like this I will be okay. If it gets worse, I will call a nurse, and will come home if it really gets bad. I sincerely hope that I do not have to come home. I want to do work down here with Fritz and Steve, and as you know, while I always miss you, Kale, I really need a break" Ross said.
"I know. Please just take your migraine med, try to sleep, and I will talk to you late tomorrow" Kayley said.
"Of course. I love you, and pleasant dreams" Ross said.
"Sweet Dreams, my love" Kayley said, clicking Ross off.
The next morning, Ross awakened, showered, and went to breakfast with Steve and Fritz.
When Steve and Fritz asked if Ross was okay, Ross said. "I'm hanging in there. Please let's just go about our business, and if I need to take a breather, I will let you guys know" Ross said.
"Okay. Maybe getting into the work will cause you to feel better" Steve said, as the men drove toward the field.
The three partners got to the field, where 100 people were present in person and 100 via Zoom.
The field foreman lectured about the company, the product, and other benefits.
Seventy five people took contracts and signed up. Not a bad showing.
After the show, Ross, Fritz, and Steve went to the office.
Fritz and Steve could see that Ross was "fighting it", so they advised him to take another breather, and made a dinner meeting one hour later than originally scheduled, saying to the person involved that they were "tied up in field show business" The other party, who was of course involved in energy, understood, and immediately agreed.,
About Seven pm that night, Ross, Fritz, Steve, and Travis Barker, went to dinner at a steakhouse.
Travis had two potential deals. A fifty million dollar company, and, if that was successful, a potential partnership involving Travis, and a few other men.
Ross, Fritz, and Steve took the papers which Travis had, and asked if they could examine everything, call Travis within a week, and if so, sign and close the deal within thirty days.
Travis agreed to that.
After dinner, Fritz said to Ross. "Ross, partner and close friend. I can see that you are not in wonderful shape. We will do one more activity tomorrow, and then we would please appreciate it if you would go home tomorrow late in the day. We know just how things have been going at home with work, and while we respect that you wanted a break from there, we are also very concerned about your health. Thus, let's jsst do the one more activity, and you can always come back in a month or so" Fritz said.
Ross smiled. "Thanks, Mister P. While I of course tried to focus on what I'm doing with you guys down here, of course I have for all of our sakes, and in fairness to all of us, we all know that what I just came from in New York at RossShell with the company losses, is not one hundred percent erased from my mind, because that is just not realistic. Maybe I will go home, something will turn, and I will feel better, and come back in two weeks. If not, it will be no more than a month, let's just see" Ross said.
"If you need more time, that';s what Zoom and phones are for" Steve said.
Ross, Fritz and Steve had dinner, Ross went to the hotel, and called Kayley.
"I will be home hopefully not too late tomorrow night. We did one field show, and did one meeting with a potential company about a buy. Fritz and Steve can see that I'm fighting it, so they want me to come home tomorrow. I cant argue with that. I'm not feeling horrible, but I do have somewhat of a headache, so I think it would be prudent for me to come home tomorrow, rest at home the day after, and then not go in until the day after that" Ross said.
"I'm sorry you're not feeling well, hun. I think you are doing the right thing by coming home. I will see you tomorrow night" Kayley said.
"Even if I feel better tomorrow, I will come home anyway. The guys said that I can return in less than a month. We will see" Ross said.
"Please just try to sleep, and I will see you tomorrow night" Kayley said.

After breakfast the next morning, Ross , Fritz and Steve had anoither meeting with Kevin, a guy with a "moderately sized company" value between 50 and 100 million.
Again, it would take some investigation. Kevin gave Ross, Fritz, and Steve took paperwork from Kevin, would have RFS geologists examine Kevin's holdings, and then talk further.
With Ross packed, and the meetings over, Fritz and Steve drove Ross to the airport, for a 2pm flight to JFK,.
The plane landed at 730, and Ross jumped into an Uber, and was home at 8.
Ross went upstairs, and kissed Kayley.
"Most important, how do you feel?" Kayley asked.
"I had a slight headache the whole trip. I probably would have stayed until tomorrow had I felt one hundred percent, but Mister P and Steve could see that I was not in tip top shape, so therefore, they advised me to come home" Ross said.

Ross showered, and got into his home clothes of boxer shorts, and a t shirt.
Ross was so tired and out of it that he did not know if he was hungry or just wiped.
Kayley decided to just order a small pizza and a salad, and the couple would share such anyway.
By 11, Ross and Kayley were in bed.
The couple just held each other for support.
"Ross, you know I have off tomorrow. Please, hun, I strongly advise that you not go into the office. If you want to do a bit of work at home, I wont say a word, but with what has been going on at RossShell lately, and you just having come back from a trip., I think you need a day" Kayley said.
"Understood. I will definitely not go into the office. As for any work at all, we will see how I feel. Oh, and while I'm too out of it tonight, tomorrow night, I owe you something" Ross said, referring to sex/making love.
"Babe, you dont "owe me anything", but if you want to do what you just said, that would be wonderful" Kayley said, kissing Ross.

Ross called the office. The secretary answered, put Ross on with Vic, Vic started talking, and Ross's face fell from a straight calm look, to a very downcast look in about one second.
Kayley, in the meantime, got a worried look on her face as to why Ross suddenly had the look he did on his face.
After a "Decent" but not "bang up" trip to OKC, cut short by one day due to Ross's migraines, Ross could not possibly have come home to trouble, after what had been happening to Ross and at RossShell in recent times.
