Parents and tickling...

After replying to a post about being "caught" , and saying that my mom didn't even seem to care that I went to tickling sites, I had to wonder....did she actually know before that incident? Or was there some other reason she was cool about it?

About a week or two ago, I was at my dad's and while watching t.v. in the living room, I heard his new wife's laughter. It kept goin on till she begged him to stop a few times. Hmm...could he have been tickling her? ( duh. lol ) And since I've sometimes forgotten in the past to erase the "history", I've wondered why he hasn't told me about seeing the tickling site addresses.

And after reading about how other people's parents were cool about tickling, I thought about this:

could some of OUR parents who were cool about it have tickling fetishes themselves? I wouldn't be surprised ( well, okay i would, kind of. lol ) if that was true.

Maybe one of em passed on some kind of "tickling fetish" gene to us? lol.

My parents were pretty cool about it when they found out. It just wasn't a big deal to them. Then again, they graduated in California during 1969, so they were a lot more inclined towards tolerance than repression of deviant lifestyles.

While neither of them are tickle fetishists, I'm pretty certain it's a recessive gene that got passed on to me from them. So instead of looking at my parents, I instead look at extended family to see a trend.

The only real ticklephile in my family that I'm sure about is my cousin, and she is female. She's about two years younger than me, and that's all she wanted to do when we were growing up. Naturally, I didn't think it was sexual at the time since I was just a child and she was a blood relative. But I would bet the gene got passed to her, too. But other than that, I grew up witnessing just "normal" incidents of tickling that just happens in a family.

i don't think my parents know, i don't think they know they can check the history lol. they are not that computer savvy. plus they hardly ever use my computer anymore. what i do wonder about is once i was watching the home shopping network late at night cause i thought there would be a foot massager on. i fell asleep adn woke up the next morning to my mom walkin in my room to turn off my tv. and hsn was still on!! i wonder what she thought? eek!

If my parents know, I've wasted alot of effort. When I didn't have a computer in my room, and was using the family one, I always erased the history. But the effort was in hiding downloaded videos and images. I constructed a crude password system using 10 folders, each of which had 10 folders inside them, and once more beyond that. All of them were empty except the path of folders named

I realize that to a fairly competent user, this kind of trick will not work. But I also knew that my parents have trouble cutting and pasting, so I figure the secret's safe. Of course, it is now. I transferred the files to my new computer as soon as I got it.

Both of my parents are realy cool about my fetish. However, neither of them are ticklephiles. I do have an uncle (my Mom's brother) who is one of us, though. And although my daughter is still young, I already know she will be joining our ranks as she grows older. She is me, 22 years ago....LOL. Same innocent love for it that I had. So I personally am a firm believer that certain "kinks" can be passed on through the genes.

I have yet to find out if my mom (I lived with a single mom for the first 16 years of my life, no dad) has a ticklish fetish. I am 99% sure I got it from her, because when I think back on it, I remember her tickling the hell out of me (she still does occasionally) as a kid. I guess I just liked it and it grew from there. I don't know if she is quite as into it as any of us are, but I sure ain't gonna ask! LOL....I live with my grandparent now, and we have one computer for the three of us. I, like many, forgot to clear the "documents" folder once, and I was busted for quote "Girly pictures". He just got me to delete the Documents folder (leaving my archive unscathed 😛 ) but he didn't push it much...kinda the same deal Alex W. had, lol. Once when my aunt was over here for the day I was just coming downstairs and I heard my grandfather say the following to her: "He's into [didn't catch the word, but I'm pretty sure he said tickling] now. It's a teenage thing." The aren't upset about it but they don't particularly like it either. So I just hide stuff...😛
I don't know where the "tickling gene" got started in my family, because my grandparents (neither of them) don't show even the faintest signs of tickling interest, but as I said my mom tickled the hell out of me as a kid. I guess it started with her.

Both of my parents knew of my "Entusiasm" long before I got my computer. How? I told them! I'd been hiding it (or trying to) for years, and finaly, tired of hiding, and figuring they would find out, anyway, (My magazine and video collection were getting rather large!🙂) I just came clean. My dad understood completely, which surprised me. I knew he tickled my mom, and I thought it was only playfully, and maybe it was, but I didn't expect him to be that cool about it. I guess none of think our parents will understand. My mom seemed a bit surprised at first, but came to realize it was harmless, and was also cool with it. I hope this might enbolden some Scared-to-death-that-my-parents-will-find-out ticklephile to speak out. MUCH easier said than done. I know, but I think we underestimate our perents more than we realize!

I'm certain that there is some form of genetic thing going on here. When I "came out" to my parents, I discovered that my father has had a foot fetish all his life; although it is not as consuming as mine. As some of you know I came into the tickling world via the foot fetish scenario. I sure that sexuality can be passed on through families, even if some people are only carriers of the "tickling gene". 😀

Robmic is absolutely right in my opinion. All the kids I know are extremly resourcful, probably because a child's mind wants what it wants when it wants it, and will go around any and all obstacles to get it. I would not be surprised if children are able to come up with ideas and strategies that their parents haven't. If my kids become ticklephles (and I actually hope they do lol) I will defenitely try to keep open lines on the whole subject. You'd be amazed at what you can learn from a kid.

Just wanna throw this in, if I may. About fetishes and their possible relation to genes. My belief is that, while physical traits are inhereted genetically, personality traits are inhereted from one's environment, especially early in life. Is it possible that a common fascination between two related individuals would result from one's fascination having a subliminal effect on their behavior, and said behavior being subliminally interpretted by the other person into the same fascination? Just a thought.

I'm with Strelnikov on this one. my boys are very young right now and I think that their love of tickling is a wonderful, adorable, beautiful thing. it makes me smile.

but as they grow older... if it becomes something more... well, while I hope they grow up happy in who they are and in what they love... I would want NO details. none! nadda! zip! lol will just want to know that they are happy.
