Picture and Request for help

I have been having fun with the New Project game from MTJ, but I'm stuck. I finally broke down and checked the help guide, but this only confused me more. I was wondering if anyone could help me, but since this is the Original Artwork section, here's an original picture to remain on topic while I ask.

Here's my problem: I've found the girl in the empty room with her feet sticking through the wall. I go around the corner and lasers block my path, so I need baby powder from the medical wing to see the lasers. The key to the medical wing is behind the locked black door. The key to the black door is beyond the lasers. I must be missing something, but I've been going over this for a while and can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I started a thread in the story forum entitled "A New Project Interactive Fiction Game Questions." I think you might receive a better response posting there.

I personally can't help you with your question but I have sent an email to Kunzite who is the author of the game directing him to this thread and the new one that I just started.

Dear tarr2k,

I'm delighted to hear that you're having fun with the game! In response to your query, I think I see your problem. The black key is not, in fact, beyond the lasers. Try asking the woman who is tickling the feet sticking through the wall about the black door. She'll respond with a hint that should point you in the right direction. The room she is talking about is next door. Once you've gotten the black key, then you can make progress towards passing the lasers (later on in the game). If you need more help, post on Morandilas' thread in the Stories forum, and I'll be happy to provide additional assistance.

I like how the gnome is fiddling around under her blouse. Women's clothing should be all be sold with a tickle gnome included. Haven't played the game. Sounds cool though.
