Please help computer gurus...

I have Windows XP and Media Player...most of the files I save play back strange...I can see the outline of the figures...but the rest is just lots of deep colors...almost like a reverse image of the video...a few play fine..(no problem with the samples from Yaqi)...but most play the way I describe. Any thoughts??

Maybe you should just try to use another Player like VLC Mediaplayer or Realplayer.

Which version of Windows Media Player? You may be using old versions of the video codecs (what lets the video be decoded and played) and they are able to do part of the job but not all.

What type of file are you trying to play? Right-click on it and select "Properties" to see some information on it, including "Type of file".
