I Try to Think of Spring

I try to think of spring
But my mind drifts back to you
The times we ran between the rain
And sat upon the dew.

I’d love to sit as close to you
As nature would allow
To hear your heartbeat on my ear
Would ease the pain somehow.

The more I live within the world
It’s toil, pain and strife
The more I know how lucky I am
To have you in my life.
