Pokemon Diamond & Pearl

Well I've been playing this game a while now, and it can be addictive, as it is the same premise as all the other Pokemon games before it. However, what really annoys me about this game is the graphics and sound. It looks like they have tried as little as possible to improve them, with sounds from particular pokemon which could have come from the original gameboy game, as well as graphics which haven't changed much except for their colour. I could have lived with this, except for the fact that They also released another game not long before this one was released called Pokemon Ranger, whose graphics and sound and much better. Its as if they intentionally make the pokemon games like this, so how come Pokemon Ranger had graphics and animation which were so much better, while the newest Pokemon Diamond & Pearl is woefully unchanged? Basically very little of the original game has changed, only slight modifications have been made and extra features have been added, but thats about it. Its really annoying, because Pokemon Ranger looks so much nicer, except it is completely different in terms of gameplay.
I mean, why couldn't they use the same sort of graphics in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl? It baffles me.

I've always played the games but I haven't played Diamond or Pearl yet. The games are always hella fun, so I should pick one up soon. But I never did understand why they never improved the graphics or sound either. Or why they never got it in their heads to just make a 3D console game like everyone wanted without it being some stupid Colosseum game or some corny-ass story where you don't actually do anything even remotely similar to actually catching freaking Pokemon...

It's true that they could have worked on the graphics more... but considering all the content that is in this game (493 freaking pokemon) I'd say gamefreak just decided to focus their time on other mechanics of the game (like bringing back day and night). It kinda is a downer that the graphics are still 2D limited, but as long as the game is fun to play, I'd say just enjoy everything it has to offer instead of wishing for what it didn't have :happy: .

But why make hundreds of new Pokemon if most of them are crappier rip-offs of the old Pokemon?
