As for the reviewer - He does have a point. Only people who are into tickling will be blown away by your story, lurch - everyone else might appreciate the writing, but be honest - would you be thrilled by a Tenchi-tale that deals only with one or two characters dressing up as clowns and walking around, complete with long descriptions of their make-up and their costumes and little else? (Yes, there's such a thing as a 'clown-fetish', there really is!) See what my point is? The story rocks, no questions asked, but it is a tickling story before all else. As fanfic it lacks action. As tickling fiction, it blows my mind!
By the way, the reviewer didn't really crack down on you. He found the tale 'technically okay', and merely cautions all readers about what to expect - a whole damn lot of tickling!
Don't let it get to you - I wouldn't send any of my stuff in for a review to the editor of a horror-story anthology, either. We write for ticklers, we are ticklers, let those who don't like it go elsewhere.
