So how many people out there do you think have a tickling fetish? Do you think it's growing? declining? how many people do you know personally that have the fetish? I think I might know atleast 2 other people who have it. Others I can't tell if they're simply "like" it as an activity or possess it as a fetish. Post what you think and have fun!

So how many people out there do you think have a tickling fetish?
-Probably a very small minority. It's definitely not a common thing. If you want to be broad about it, a lot of people could consider it fun in a flirtatious kind of way, but not to the extent we're thinking here. There aren't many because, let's be honest, it's a fairly strange thing to be turned on by.

Do you think it's growing? declining?
-Staying the same. I don't think we're changing as a people either culturally or biologically in a way that either makes us more fetishistic or more into tickling. The internet has function as a great information resource, and now everyone with any fetish can talk to each other than share various kinds of content. But I don't think that "creates" the fetish in anyone, so much as it just helps them satisfy it better.

How many people do you know personally that have the fetish?
None. Or at least none have told me. I haven't told anyone I know, so I suppose one of them could have my very same deep, dark secret. Perhaps this is for the best, with all of us being secretive. I'm not sure I'd want to learn that a platonic female friend of mine has the same fetish I do. It could complicate the relationship. I'm guessing most don't discuss their kinks with any but their sexual partners, if that.

How many people do you know personally that have the fetish? That I can only answer, because when I was in high school...I remember that I had one friend that has an interest in feet...men's feet though because of her father. And that was after I admit my fetish to her.

Because neither of us mind about it, I assume our friendship would stay strong....but unfortunately, I lost contact with her since I deleted my old myspace account and forgot to put her name on my list to look for. Because of that...I was never able to find her again. Just thinking about it now made me miss her.

That's a good question because, honestly, other than people here nobody admits if they have a tickle fetish. I've heard people in my social group admit to various fetishes but nothing to the degree of tickling, mostly run of the mill fetishes that are commonplace enough to not be considered strange. I don't know how people would react if I said I liked tickling, and if someone else shared the same fetish, how would I know? It's a difficult thing to gauge.

I'm actually surprised - there's a lot more people who like tickling as a fetish than I had originally thought - especially on a big site like Fetlife. I've met so many tickling enthusiasts there.

I would say that honestly it is hard to judge. Nobody can really cite any accounting of the number of people in the community. It is not exactly a question on the public census. I can say through my personal observation that the community is discovering itself, thanks to the Internet. Before the dawn of the Internet the exposure of tickling as a fetish was miniscule.

The good thing about tickling is that most would deem it a "safe" or even fun fetish to have. It is not really a weird thing to be turned on by compared to what else is out there. That will allow growth within social tolerances. The availability of material is certainly growing. However, you can't really say if that is a result of increasing popularity or just the efforts of the current community.
