Hey there Tickle Fans!
I'd like to take this opportunity to say "Thank you" to all of those who attended. It was a pleasure to meet you all and I look forward to seeing you all very soon!
For those who couldn't make it, you were missed and hope that you can make a future event.
It's always nice to connect faces with screen names and that's exactly what the purpose of this MUNCH was all about.
Just to give you an idea of the amount of interest in an LI event, I want to apply some numbers to the concept:
originally, approximately 40 people showed interest. Consequently, only 20 people actually RSVPed. Of the 20 people, 16 attended. Overall, I'd say that's pretty damned good! Of the 16, there were 4 female tickle fans, so that means a 1/4 of the attendees were female. I say that's pretty damned good too considering that the Fem population of the Tickling community is starting to "de-lurk" and surface on the radar!
I am truly happy with the way things went for our little social and can only hope that others found it worth the effort and time.
I'm now going to set up the whole event from my point of view:
It was 2:45pm as I pulled into the parking lot of the Diner where we were all to meet. The air was chilled and moist from the fresh rain drops that had just ceased falling. I spotted a friend of mine that I had invited as a "special guest" (you'll understand why he's a special guest later). As I approached his car I caught sight of our very own Mr. Hyde coming up on my peripheral. Oh! what a relief it was to see that someone had actually shown up! Now I knew that every effort on my part was absolutely worth it!
We all walked around the corner to find there was already a couple of guests waiting and looking a bit apprehensive. I noticed that the LIRR train had just pulled into the station across the street and was about to drop off a few more guest! Oh joy! Oh my nerves! I was so nervous I could barely think straight. I busied myself with greetings and introductions and ushered us into the Diner but not before plastering everybody with a name-badge of course!
The area we were seated in was semi private with only one problem...actually two. It was two little old, blue-haired ladies that became hell-bent on finding out what our little social was all about. Needless to say, most of everything we said for the first 30 minutes was rated "G" and mainstreamed. A few chuckles here and there peppered the group at my feable attempt to gloss everything I said lest we be found out *gasp!*
For the next hour and a half conversations gradually picked up once the little old (nosey) ladies left (gawd-luv-em). Over a light afternoon meal and casual conversation, new tickling aquaintances were made and as a result a new project is now in motion!
The plan now is to work on an actual playtime gathering(s) for the near future (sometime in late Spring through Summer). I hope to see the same faces there and lots of new ones too!
Did I mention the raffle? Oh yeah, in the beginning, while everyone was getting situated around our grouped tables, I handed out a raffle ticket to each guest for a chance at a door prize. Here comes the good part...I got to demonstrate the prize on each guest and got a real kick out of the response from the lees! First, I carefully inserted the batteries, turned it on and went to town on a wonderful buffet of ticklefans (ticklish or not)! The prize was a small yet powerful vibrator that is designed to be worn on the tip of an index or middle finger. This vibe is called a "Finger Tingler" and works it's magic on the most sensitive, ticklish and/or erogenous zones.
Who won the prize? Well...let's just say that it's a "workinprogress"! (hee-hee)😛
Once again, "Thank you" to those who showed support. We're gonna make things happen!
I invite and encourage comments from anyone who attended yesturday and look forward to reading about your take on how things turned out.
Be well.😀
