my apologies if this has already been adressed, i have not read all posts in this forum.

As a computer-illiterate with no interest in computing/computers outside using them for word-processing and internet tickling, could somebody please tell me how i would post pics and clips. If someone could give me an idiots step-by step account of how to post pics and clips, you will benefit from my further understanding. The video-clips forum will not know what hit it!

How to...

The posting is rather simple. All one needs to do is use a few codes.

But before we get to that, we need to find out if you have someplace to PUT your images and clips. You need to have some linkable webspace some place on a server. It may be in your personal internet account, or on a friends server. Once you have that you'll need to upload your media to that space and note the URLs of it.

So have a place to put stuff?

same issue but firther along

Hey Myriads,

I'm having a similar problem. I've got an image stored on a geocities account and it shows up as a red x when I try to view it here. Basically I created a little image to use with my signature file. IN fact you should see either the image in question or the red x I see on my screen at the bottom of this post in my signature. Am I doing anything wrong, or does geocities cause problems with linking files?

Geocities

Alas, Geocities is one of the places that does not allow cross linking. Anything you put there must be viewed from Geocities itself. The red x will show from anyplace else.

If you are and AOL or Earthlink Subscriber then you got some webspace with your internet account. You CAN store and crosslink from those places. I can't speak for MSN, or ATT, I think Roadrunner allows crosslinking from account space.

Good luck!

That's what I was afraid of. OKay, thanks, man. I'll find somewhere else to store the image so I can cross link it.

Thanks for you help as always.
