found this short little paragraph in a potc.
Will walked in the front door and hung his hat on the top of the coat tree. He faintly heard Elizabeth telling someone to “Bloody SHUT UP.” two rooms away. Tut tut, but she was tactless. He decided he should go see what she was about.
“Elizabeth, I’m home.” He called. She stuck her head out of the living room.
“Will, dear, your early.”
“Yes, Erik began feeling ill, so I decided... are you alright?” Her face was red and she seemed to be fighting hysterical giggles.
“No - er, I mean yes, every things fine. Nothings wrong.” She stuttered. She was lucky she hadn’t followed in her fathers footsteps. Politics wouldn’t have suited her.
“Alright. I’m going to get some tea.” He started to leave, then he turned and gestured back to the package he was carrying, “And would you tell Jack I finished his sword?”
“Yes, sure I’ll- wait a minute, what?!” Her mouth dropped open.
Jack popped his head out the door and said, “Really? May I see it?”
“After I’ve had my tea. And please don’t tickle my wife's feet.” Will said. Jack followed him into the kitchen, Elizabeth hopping after them, trying desperately to put her left shoe back on.
