... on www.tiscali.co.uk - they offer 100 meg of free FTP space to whoever signs up. I'm not sure on the details yet, apart from the fact that the service is free, and the space is FTP.

i also don't know if you have to use their dial-up to access it, although this will probably be the case, which means UK only, unless tiscali have an american site.

The problem with alot of those free services is: it costs money to create them and the companies that offer such services want to make money instead of spending it. Therefor, some of those companies make terribly long license-agreements (which no-one reads) and in the middle they type a little line: saying that by agreeing to the following stuff you'll have to pay afterr 10 days or something. Or the bandwith-costs will be put on your phonebill; provided you make usage of their dial-up service. IF someone here wants to make usage of this, I think it would be useful to read the license-agreement thoroughly before signing up...

worry not, the liscence agreement contans nothing hidden or nasty. besides, i haven't given them a credit card number anyway: its a free service.

ps the service does work, and i got 50mb of ftp space. if anyone wants to know how to use ftp, just ask!
