Last night, at about 2:15am my time, shortly after I left the chat for the night, my power went off due to the strong winds from Isabel. It was out about 4 hours, and has just come back on. The winds are still blowing, though, so I'll feel very lucky if it doesnt go out again. Power outages are a regular thing here. We had one in June of 2002 for 9 hours, and another one last Christmas day for about 9 hours. That was the time where, as I told all of you, I ate warm peanut butter for Christmas dinner! LOL! It is an adventure. So, as power outages go, this one was short, IF it doesnt go out again. Originally, the power company told us not to expect it on until 8pm tonight, which would have been almost 24 hours. If we keep the power and dont go out again, we will have lucked out.
Well, that was my night. Just thought I'd post about it. I've been up all night, and am gonna hit the hay, as all my meetings today were cancelled due to the storm. Night all!
