tommy maddox(sp?) received a wicked but legit hit from a Raiders player was knocked unconscious,and lost feeling for about 15 minutes...if any know more about this please post

p.s for those not familiar with the nfl....tommy maddox is quarterback for the pittsburgh steelers)

thank you for the update...i had heard about it after the bills disappointing loss....and the only thing i had heard was that the hit had occured in the back/neck area thats why i was worried...although a broken ankle is definitely nothing to sneeze at

As of 11pm EST, Maddox had regained sensation in his upper extremities.He sustained a concussion and spinal contusion.However,
there is no mention of an ankle injury,and was injured playing the Titans.Stay tuned.................

please forgive my eroneous errors they were unintenioned...i had at 4:15pmEST seen the clip of the hit that Maddox received and didn't realize that it was the Titans not the Raiders....sorry about that...bites her lip sheepish in her mistake

Donovan McNabb of the Eagles is the player who will miss 6-8 for the broken ankle. Just FYI. 😎

As of today,Monday,Maddox is being sent home to another hospital for more tests and observation.He is walking on his own, and will be sent to Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

There have been a lot of QB's injured this year.

But at this point, Maddox and McNabb are both in my prayers... even though I don't root for either team!!!

Concussion

Hey my Buffalo grl (gg25).

I had the impression that Maddox received a mild concussion on that play - and the way he was laying, the injury looked far worse.

I just Brad Johnson (Tampa Bay) and Rich Gannon (Oakland) saty healthy, and go to the ultimate moshpit in January.

Also,

I see no one mentioned this, and it is obvious that we are on an injured QB kick... Brian Griese of the Denver Broncos was hurt on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks! I believe he sprained his ankle or tore his ACL or something like that. I don't know his exact return time!!!
