hey this is camel's partner,

she told me you guys were awesome and would probably help me out, 🙂

i am curious if any of you are recent parents, male or female... and if you are, if you could please reply with your favorite part of pregnancy, worst part of pregnancy, and one thing you expected that either was true or false.

if that is too stuctured, if you could just tell me a about your experience of being pregnant.

thanks so much,

this is for my final paper for one of my classes... and any useful response would be great!!

Best,

Ticklebug

I wouldn't be surprised if somebody said they love the part *before* pregnancy...

Ha ha Kal...

Hey--Camel here...if anyone can help my ler out, it's for school...and I told her that if she wanted some honest answers, I told her to talk to you guys...I know a bunch of you have youngins...so if you can help her out just telling her what it was like for you either being pregnant/having your spouse pregnant...it would be AWESOME!!! You'd be helping us both out (the sooner she gets a response, the sooner she can write her paper...the sooner we both get to play...😉 )

Thanks in advance everyone!!!

Lotsa love,

Camel

To quote simpsons when apu and his wife we're taking a pregnancy test

"Baby....baby!.......awww joker!"

My favorites were:
(1) seeing them for the first time via the ultrasound
(2) feeling them moving in my wifes womb
(3) actaully getting to hold them the first time (we had massive infertility problems plus one miscarraige, so getting to hold them made the miracle of life even more miraculous!)

 I have a 4 year old half-sister, whom I wittnessed come alive; (I wasnt in the room, just at the window* It was....charming. Everyone looked soooo happy! The mother was over her 40's, so there were some worries about how this would turn out, but in the end, everything was aOK.

The favourite parts were times like when we learned it was going to be a girl, when I first heard her crying, and when I first saw her SNORING! YES, SNORING in her mothers hands.

A bad part was of course the worrying about the health of the child; the mother smoked before the pregnancy, and she was a little beyond the healthy age to get a child, so there was always fear of a disaster...luckily, that never happened. 🙂

I heard this from the mother; her most memorable moments are when she could actually feel the child inside, kicking, moving, making a fuss. The fact that it was there, moving, was what made her happy.

Good luck, and congratulations for your so far achievements. Its gonna be fun when your baby arrives, even I, (I was about 15-16), as a teen, found it one of the greatest things in the universe. 😎

PS : How long are you in the pregnancy? 🙂

Thank you all for your help so far--just to clarify: Neither of us is pregnant. My ler is doing a paper on pregnancy--she's a Psych Major...and about a billion other majors...and one of her papers happens to be on pregnancy and she needed some people's insight who have been through it before...so she came to you! Thank you for your insight so far!!! More help is definitely welcome!!! I knew I could count on you folks...😀

😱 OH SH*T! AND I WAS SOOOOO INTO IT TO! :sharp_tee 😛

There have to be more parents/folks with pregnancy experience here...I know there are...tell my ler your stories!!! She just needs something to go on!!!! No names...all anonymous...just so she can write a paper...please help?!?!? Thanks guys and girls!!!!!

the hollywood brother has three female friends who have children and all had children in very early twenties. all three of them claim they were the horniest and required sex the most while pregant. Now the hollywood brother do not know if this is due to young age or a biological factor but all three of them told the hollywood brother this numeorus times.

Well i have not yet had a chance to grow up and have kids. But im posting because, I had a friend who had a daughter. I was the person who bought the pregnancy test for her was there when she took it. Was the person who told her "hun i don't think that second pink line will dissapear." I was there to watch her grow up into the mother she is as her lovely baby girl grew in her tummy. Was there to feel the first kick. She was there for me when the doctors told me i wont be able to have children ever because there was a problem with the tilt of my overies and i might have had endometiosis. She was also there for me when the doctors later after more tests said i have a chance but it will be complicated labor. She was there to celebrate...and iwas there when she broke her water on my shoe as we hugged from the news i was able to have kids.....ew i know....I was there to watch her push and not cry she never cried. the baby was beautiful even being completely covered in nasties. My dad says new borns are ugly and look like lizards changing colors and all. There was nothing gross or ugly about the birthing. You might think...ew...blood....baby out of small hole gross i used to. But when i watched it all....It was amazing. The whole experience is amazing. I cannot wait to have that experience. i cant wait....but im going too lol...btw no worries i can have children just i might have a loooooong birthing and for the record the birthing my friend did labor and all was 12 hours....active labor only 30 minutes

-The sonagrams/ultrasound appointments are always great.

-Feeling the baby move around.

-My wife's sex drive went up big time!!! =)

pregnancy

For me one of the coolest things was to lay back on the couch and watch my baby boy (didn't find out the boy part till after he was born) move around. Years later he still has not stopped moving at any time!

The other cool thing was to eat whatever I wanted. As a result I used to back onto the scale (facing outward rather than toward the wall) at my doctor's office so I would not have to see the reading! LOL

Being able to put away my maternity clothes when I was done was also a really good feeling.

Some thoughts on a process that seems long until you realize how long it takes to raise the little rugrats, then pregnancy seems like a breeze!

i think i can help, i'm not a parent, but i can ask around, then write down all the responses for ya. anything to help ya out.

but i can tell you, not from experience, the mood swings, the cravings, and the actual labor are the worst, as far as i've heard. but i think that is common knowledge.
