Hi All --

I usually don't send this stuff along, but I tried it, and it's true! Really scary!

Take a look at the note below - if you go to www.google.com and type in your telephone number it will actually pull up directions to your house - there is a way to have your number removed.

I got a place in OH, VA, and MD. When I put in my area code with my number "No documents found" was given. Same with my personal number.

Yeah. AT&T has a service kinda like that. I think it's anywho.com. You can enter a phone number and get the matching name and address. And of course, it's easy to get directions, given an address. Personally, it doesn't bother me, but I can certainly see how one could see it as posing a threat and an invasion of privacy.

Seems it doesn't work here in Germany. When I typed in my number, I got to a college phone directory from Hyderabad, India! 🙂

Didn't work for my number (unlisted) but I tried the number of a friend and it came right up !!

OMG!

it not only gave my name, but my daughters too!
but not my wife, hmm?
it also gave the names and phone#'s of 2 others that i am on a board with.
this is very disturbing!

I looked up my number and luckily it gives an old address of mine. Now I understand why I move so often. LOL

Doesn't work for my number, but it's a UK number. Well, there are no sites which contain it.
