Okay so the stories listed in my current signature or almost complete. Two of them at least! Third one started and probably won't interfere with the running order so after a last check and modification Andrea and Zoe's morning's should grace the story section soon.

In the mean time I got creative and wrote an introduction to a story I got the idea for a few weeks ago....

Duncan was frustrated. He wanted to go to the tickling event but didn’t have the money for a Blue feather. Despite having a First in Philosophy he was unemployed. He considered getting a Green Feather for £5 but didn’t fancy the idea of being tickled himself. He considered taking out a loan, but hated the idea of more debt hating his student loan already! Exasperated he left the house for a stroll. Just a few months earlier he had been on top of the world. Between getting his results, graduation and discovering the tickle tent at the beach life had been good, true he had to restrict watching tickling videos to the times when his parents were out and unlikely to return soon! But life had been good! As the endless boredom and rejection had gone on though he grew angry; he had never had a particular job in mind but wanted to get some life experience before doing Master’s degree.

His desire for further study was curbed by the lack of job opportunities however. He received a rejection letter for every twenty jobs he applied for which were better than being ignored. He couldn’t even get a job in a café! Apparently he was over-qualified! He was very polite to the lady at the job centre; a woman in her mid-thirties with straight hair dyed black and long fake black nails, however as the weeks drew on her helpful tone aggravated him. Every attempt she made to make the polite young man feel better patronised him and made him feel more worthless ‘Yes! He knew there wasn’t much demand for Philosophers right now!....’ Over time Duncan began to fantasise about locking her in a pair of stocks with five holes and using those long nails to tickle her feet. He imagined her feet looking like her sexy hands, never having the chance to see her feet in sandals.

The tickling event at the beach had been his one beacon of hope. What serendipity! The find beautiful women willing to have their feet tickled for money, after his driving lessons he had just enough for a turn with almost every girl each week. Not having found work he had to satisfy himself with watching others enjoy the soft soles most of the time. Now they were gone! Locked behind walls the young man couldn’t access without becoming part of the elite! Duncan left his parent’s house cursing the world. He swore that Philosophy was a rouse for people to sell their books without teaching anyone the skills to construct a career or future, and vowed to never fork out for a masters; having seen how much they cost! Duncan’s foul mood led him to curse his mother for the name she gave him! ‘Why Duncan!’… If she hated him that much why not call him Leslie or Jeremy!’

Duncan stomped towards the first of his charity shops to amble around, the process pacified him. Duncan loved charity shops; they were like little museums of recent culture! As he beheld the many trinkets and toys his soul was soothed. He began to smile, the many copies of ‘Fifth Element’ on VHS bringing mirth. Certain items frequently gravitated towards charity shops… Recently the Twilight Saga and ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ had been very common, Duncan had read neither but mentally tallied their occurrence. Duncan had longed to find a copy of Stephen Hawking’s ‘A Brief History of Time’ in a charity shop but had never found one. He could only assume that people kept them on display to seem clever!

As he browsed the rows of books Duncan went through his usual routine of checking the first few pages of the older looking books having heard from a literature student about first editions ending up in charity shops every now and then despite being worth a fortune. As he flicked through a green hardback with gold text he stopped…

‘No! That couldn’t be right!’ he thought.

He looked again and whipped out his phone prepared for a discrete internet search. The results astounded him! He had enough for the Blue feather twenty or maybe thirty times over! He turned back to the first page to find the letters £1.00 written in blue biro. Duncan winced, that would possibly cost him a grand or two! Duncan slipped out his wallet and fumbled through the change purse. Between driving lessons and a few essentials his earnings barely gave him a pittance!

He cursed his breakfast having bought himself a Panini out of self-pity on the way to his daily amble, instead of getting breakfast at home despite it nearly being mid-day. He rifled through his coat pockets and just about managed to gather a quid, finding a twenty pence piece buried deeply pushing the total to £1.08. He promised to follow his father’s advice to never keep money loose in his pockets as he bought the precious book. Duncan was ecstatic! Now he just had to make sure he got the best deal and wasn’t screwed by the bastards who would fleece him for every penny if they could! He smiled broadly and forwent examining the other charity shops on his little well stomped route. They would wait! He had money to make and a special purchase to enjoy once the dividends came his way!
