Problem with entering chat room

I have tried to enter the chat room several times now and when I get in it looks as though it was the format for the page. I can see the names of the people in the room, but can't figure out how to talk or see what other people are putting in. I have a problem with Java on my computer and didn't know if it anything to do with it. Can anyone offer advice?

Hi, First Timer, I'm Mitch. Welcome to the forum.
If you do have a java problem, where the chat is causing you trouble, try going to www.sunmicrosystems.com, and downloading a new java. There is an option on that site called Get Java, and, when you use it, and download a new java, that usually settles issues with being able to get into the chat, and seeing the chat script, and what people are saying.
