Hello Fs fingers,
regarding your problem with IE5.5. It sounds like you got something on your PC which is very similar to what took over mine last year. Well if it's any help a company called Gator landed itself all over my PC, this is an advertising company and gets into every part of your system and stores your info. There is a disc called AD/AWARE if you can get it will remove all this stuff from your pc and you can use it regularly. Hope this helps!!!
