problems with TMF Chat

I dont know if this is the right place for it, but i need some help.
I try to start the tmf chat but it doesnt work. It opens for a few seconds and closes directly after one or two seconds. I am logged in, and everything is like always, but i dont know why it doesnt work any longer.

I hope sombody can help me.

Hi ticklestar,

You probably have a Java problem, and need new Java. Go to www.sunmicrosystems.com. There is an option there called "Get Java". Click it, and download the Java. Doing that usually helps with problems of getting into chat.

Hi Mitch,
thanks for your quick help, I tried it with a new version of java, but it still does not work 🙁
I dont know where this problem comes from.
hope you have other ideas.

Take a wander down the Tech help form and read the other 7 or 8 threads that discuss this issue. In many of them there are detailed instructions aboiut how the current java is incompadible with the room and needs to be uninstalled and replaced with an earlier version. There is also a good one over in suggestions for some reason under a thread about being unable to enter the chat. Look for the one started by tickleslave07

problems again

Thanks Myriads for your ideas. I took an oder version of Java and it worked again.
But today always if i try to log in for the chat it closes down like before...AND my internet explorer shuts down ALL windows :-( Dont know if only i have this problem.
Would be nice if again somebody could help me

My problem's a little different, I downloaded java and it opened the room but showed nothing as far as who was in the room. and when I closed it and tried to re-enter, it kept telling me that another user with my screen ame was in or something and I had to log out and try again (which I did by the way and again got the same message) Welcome to the future I guess 🙄

Your first problem is a java issue. Check other threads here in this forum to solve that one. It's a common issue.

The second was you ghosted yourself. I kicked the ghost so thats solved.
