problems

is anyone else having trouble getting on today. it is taking a long time and sometimes it is giving me an error. i have sent a pm to TT but no responce. just thought i would get some input

Things have been pretty slow for me at times. Like pages take a while to load.

ya...thats about the size of it. i dont think TT is around. i havent seen his name come up... oh well. he will know what to do. i believe hds is a tech wizz mod too. maybe ill try talking to him

I too have noticed the occasional slow-down of the TT of late. I have said this before (Recently), but it reminds me of the time the database swelled up to stupendous proportions a year or so back. But, I am afraid I will be of little help if it actually IS a server issue. Only TT can make changes/adjustments to the server or reconfigure the forum itself. If it was just you, and I could pin it down to your computer alone, THEN we could try and fix something. In this case, though, the best thing is to just see what TT says to do.

I noticed the same thing, but had assumed it was my dodgy Internet connection. I think something may be wrong with the board, because my ISP has spontaneously disconnected three days in a row while I am browsing TT, and nowhere else. (In fact, I've even gone back to using Internet Explorer just for this board to rule out a Firefox issue.)

This is odd. My dial up modem just disconnected itself too, right now. It told me to check for modem updates. But, that dosen't make sense.

I have very fast broadband but I have noticed some definate lags recently. I won't be able to open pages or images for several minutes at a time sometimes. Always kicks back in at some point but there is definate lag.

Yeah..i have Cable modem and it kept kickin me off the site last nite as i tried to Pm. oh well..its workin fine for me now.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback; I probably didn't need to reinstall my ISP software last night, lol. I had assumed that it had gotten corrupted, but apparently there really was something wrong at the board.
