As Kayley was on the operating table, and the Doctors were removing "Lumpy pre cancerous tissue" that was definitely dangerous, and could turn to Cancer either rapidly or eventually if left alone, they also found another "area of concern"
The Doctors made the decision so as not to do anything on a "Questionable area", to finish the current procedure, allow Kayley to recover, and then do more tests on the other "area of concern" ASAP.
Kayley was taken to the recovery room, and her twin sister, Cathy, who was at the hospital with Kayley, was spoken to by the Doctors.
"Cathy, this procedure is completed. We removed the lumpy pre cancerous tissue which we discussed with Kayley. When she recovers from this procedure ASAP, she will need to undergo another test on another "possible area of concern" Since the area is localized, and has not thankfully spread to any other part of Kayley's body, it is not dangerous, for us to wait up to 30 days for Kayley to heal from this procedure, and then run other tests on the other possible area. If we find anything definite, we will operate or do any treatment within a couple of days of discovery. Let's finish dealing with this first, and then we will worry about any other possible problems" The Doctor said.
"Thank You, Doctor. How long until Kayley is awake?" Cathy said.
"Kayley will be awake in anywhere from one to two hours. The anesthesia takes a different amount of time in different people to wear off. After that, we will test her vital signs, and by this afternoon it will be okay for you to take Kayley home" The Doctor said.
"Thank You, Doctor" Cathy said.
Cathy dialed Ross's cell phone, and he picked up on the first ring.
"Hi Cath, how's Kale?" Ross asked.
"The procedure is over. They removed all of the lumpy pre cancerous tissue which they definitively found. The Doctor told me that he found another what he called an "area of concern" , which they will have to Xray and maybe biopsy. If it is anything, they can wait up to 30 days to do another procedure since Thank God this was all detected in the very early stages. The Doctor told me to let Kayley finish this situation, before any of us worry about anything else. When Kayley wakes up, and she is alert, I will ask Kayley if Kayley wants me to call our mother or whether Kayley wants to do it herself. Let her get home and settled first" Cathy said.
"Thanks, Cath. I'm going to get out of here very early. (Ross was referring to the office, which was where he was, at Kayley's instructions) I will be home within an hour or at most two of when you guys get there" Ross said.
"Okay, thanks, Ross, see you later" Cathy said.
Ross clicked Cathy off, took a deep sigh, and felt tears well in his eyes, as he took a deep sigh of relief.
About 90 minutes later, the Doctor came back to inform Cathy that Kayley was awake, and was being taken to an outpatient room. Cathy hurried down there to meet her twin as Kayley was wheeled in.
"Hi, Kale" Cathy said, kissing Kayley gently on the cheek.
"What was it , Cath?" Kayley asked.
"The Doctor is here, and I will tell you what it was, Kayley" The surgeon said, entering the room.
Kayley looked at the Doctor silently.
The Doctor sighed.
"We removed the definite lumpy pre cancerous tissue which I told you about. We also found a possible, and I stress, possible, area of concern. You can wait up to 30 days to heal from this procedure without any danger of anything spreading, at which point we will take more tests to decide what, if anything else, should or needs to be done" The Doctor said.
"Thank You, Doctor" Kayley said.
"If you have no complications, please call me in a few days so we can schedule a follow up appointment at my office" The Doctor said.
"Of course, Doctor, and thanks again" Kayley said.
A nurse came, took Kayley's vital signs, which seemed stable.
Kayley then dressed, was given a wheelchair, and a nurse wheeled her out of the hospital to an Uber which was waiting to take Kayley and Cathy home.
Kayley was silent at first, then sighed.
"I guess I dodged a bullet. I'm always badgering Ross about his health, and this could have been the worst" Kayley said.
"Kale, we all love you. " Cathy said.
"I know, Cath, and I love all of you. We will go home. I want to talk to Ross when he gets there, and then we will figure which one of us will call our mother and tell her., I'm groggy, and I really dont feel like having a guilt trip laid on me for not telling her about this, so I might ask you.. " Kayley said, referring to Cathy calling their mother.
"It's done. Dont worry about that. The main thing is that you are going to be okay" Cathy said.
When the Uber got to Ross and Kayley's building, Cathy helped Kayley upstairs, and Kayley went to the sofa, took a pillow and blanket, and lied down. Just that moment, the key was in the door, and Ross was inside.
"Perfect timing, partner. We just got here" Kayley said, looking at Ross.
Ross went over silently, saying nothing. He looked at Kayley, nothing came out of his mouth at first, and then just said. "I love you to the end of the world" as tears formed in his eyes.
"Please dont break down on me , partner. They got it, its over" Kayley said, hugging Ross's neck.
Then, Kayley said. "You may leave , twin, once you make one phone call in front of me" Kayley said, referring to Cathy breaking the news to their mother.
Cathy pulled out her cell phone, showed Kayley the number Cathy was hitting, and then prepared to speak.
"Mom, its Cathy. Please dont say anything. I have to tell you something very important. I'm at Kayley's. Kayley just had a procedure to remove what turned out to be lumpy pre cancerous tissue in her breast. They got everything before it turned to Cancer. Yes. I will tell Kayley to call you back" Cathy said, clicking the phone off.
Cathy looked at Kayley. "You know who wants to talk to you, sis"
Kayley sighed, and dialed her mother.
"Mom, please listen. I did not tell you or Sarah because I did not want to worry you. It was not Cancer Thank God, but it was pre cancerous tissue that is now gone. Now, I am home, and need to recover. I will talk to you later or tomorrow. I'm very tired and Ross just got home. Yes, of course he knew before. Yes, mother, goodbye" Kayley said.
Kayley sighed. "That's over. The third degree. Let her tell Baby Sarah. Or you can tell her later, Cath. I;m too tired to talk to her" Kayley said.
"Okay, I will leave you two. Take care of the patient, sir" Cathy said.
"You know I will, twin" Ross said, as Cathy went to the door, Ross opened it, closed it behind Cathy, and then locked the door.
Ross went over, took a chair, and sat next to Kayley.
"I'm fine. Its over. Let's not dwell on it. Oh, and just for full disclosure. They found another "area of concern" that I need to have tested within the month depending on how fast this heals. That can be left alone even up to a few weeks without concern" Kayley said.
Ross sighed. "Okay, so we dodged a bullet"
"Yes, Thank Heaven. So enough about this. Tell me about you" Kayley said.
"I only went in and did not come to the hospital because you asked me to. I did research on things, and accomplished nothing. I am not going anywhere like OKC or anywhere else until you are okay" Ross said.
"You dont have to stay here for a month waiting. Stay a week, and if my next visit to the Doctor is okay, you can go and come as you please, as long as you dont piss the teacher off!" Kayley said, as they both laughed.
After a light dinner, Ross and Kayley went into bed, and held each other from exhaustion.
Ross, with a sleep med in him, managed to sleep until 4 am. He used to bathroom, and then, after downing a bagel, went into the home office, as long as he was awake, and felt like he would not go back to sleep.
"Might as well go into the home office" had brought Ross trouble in the past, and this time, he would find something on his answering machine

Was the "Something" positive or negative?
That would be seen.
